The woman quickly grabbed her two kids and her .38 revolver and hid in a crawl space. Despite hiding, the would be intruder still found the family and the woman was forced to open fire on the suspect. She fired all six shots from her gun and hit the suspect 5 times. The woman tried to hold the intruder at gunpoint, but he fled the scene in his car. However, the intruder was badly injured and crashed his car nearby where he was apprehended by police. The suspect was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect has a criminal record and was most recently released from jail in August.
