Liberal Columnist Calls For Killing NRA Members, Declaring Group A “Terrorist Organization,”

WEASELZIPPERS.US 2 Hours Ago Liberal Columnist Calls For Killing NRA Members, Declaring Group A “Terrorist Organization,” Des Moines Register Publishes Column… You stay classy, Des Moines Register. Kaul: Nation needs a new agenda on guns — Des Moines Register [T]hat’s obscene. Here, then, is my “madder-than-hell-and-I’m-not-going-to-take-it-anymore” program for ending gun violence in America: • Repeal the Second Amendment, the part about guns anyway. It’s badly written, confusing and more trouble than it’s worth. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership, but it puts it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We don’t make our militia bring their own guns to battles. And surely the Founders couldn’t have envisioned weapons like those used in the Newtown shooting when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun should be a privilege, not a right. • Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party,

Obama Says He Wants Gun Control ‘Priority’ in 2013

GODFATHERPOLITICS.COM 1 Hour Ago Obama Says He Wants Gun Control ‘Priority’ in 2013 The moment supporters of the Second Amendment have worried about may be here soon. President Obama said Sunday that he will present a package of anti-gun legislation to Congress early in 2013, pledging to place his “full weight” behind the new restrictions. As expected, Obama is taking advantage of the Newtown school massacre to persuade Congress and ignorant Americans that limiting legal access to guns would actually curb mass murders like those that took place in Connecticut on Dec. 14. Obama said in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” “I’m going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again.” Don’t count on anything in that package actually addressing what happened in Newtown. Obama has called on Congress to reinstate the fe

Are Congressional Republicans Already Caving In on Gun Control?

PJMEDIA.COM 7 Hours Ago Are Congressional Republicans Already Caving In on Gun Control? by Bryan Preston On Sunday’s Meet the Press, President Obama promised to put the “full weight” of the presidency behind measures to infringe on Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) has already proposed a new gun control law that would, among other things, renew the expired “assault weapons” ban and force fingerprinting of Americans who own certain types of firearms. There’s talk of new laws to ban “high-capacity” ammunition magazines as well. Republicans control the House and, thus, could be expected as the party of Second Amendment rights to be ready to stop whatever the president and the Democrats come up with in the Senate. But the Doc Thompson radio show has posted what it is says is correspondence with a source in one of the Republican congressional leaders’ offices. The emails were apparently exchanged between December 27 and 30. Click to enlarge. The cruci

David Gregory under investigation, out of headlines

POLITICO.COM 9 Hours Ago David Gregory under investigation, out of headlines by Dylan Byers Last Friday, NBC's David Gregory was making headlines as the subject of a D.C. police investigation after having displayed an empty gun magazine on live television. Later that day, NBC announced that Gregory had landed an exclusive interview with President Obama, and the issue more or less went away. Gregory remains under investigation, a Washington Metropolitan Police Department official today told POLITICO, but the story seems like a distant memory. For many, it was a ridiculous story from the start -- the weed that grew from a holiday news drought. News anchors and media critics voiced disdain for the story on Twitter, the Wall Street Journal's conservative editorial board called it "entirely nonsensical," even the president of the National Rifle Association called it "silly." But for some right-wing bloggers and pundits, the idea that Gregory could be exem
