The Education Department's Office of the Inspector General somehow found it necessary to spend over $80,000 on Glock pistols and over $17,000 on Remington shotguns in the past seven years for investigations into "fraud, waste or abuse of Department of Education funds." In July alone, the OIG purchased 30 Glock 27s for a total of $10,800, according to  documents released by Muckrock .
