A banner instantly recognizable as standing for certain values which will not be compromised.” – Reagan While I myself am a registered conservative, I look to the Republican Party as the closest representative of conservative values in American politics. Overtime, that appears to be fading. Sometimes I look at Washington lately and I wonder if it is possible to distinguish one party from the other. While many see the parties as becoming more partisan in their r

DAILYCALLER.COM 2 Hours Ago Rubio, Lee, Cruz struggled to get time on the floor to discuss Obamacare defunding by  Alexis Levinson Tweet WASHINGTON — Sen. Marco Rubio complained Tuesday that his attempts to get time on the floor to discuss defunding the Affordable Care Act with Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee were repeatedly denied. The three Senators are spearheading the push to use the continuing resolution to defund the healthcare law, and are hoping to get more Republican Senators on board. The three have circulated a letter to that effect. Some Republican colleagues have signed on, but others, such as Sen. Richard Burr, criticized it as the "dumbest idea" he had ever heard. On Tuesday afternoon, Rubio tweeted a complaint that they were unable to schedule a time for the three of them to discuss the effort on the Senate floor. @SenMikeLee , @SenTedCruz  & I have been trying to get time on Senate floor 2 speak together about  #obamacare .Keep being told no time available —

Blow to Bloomberg: Appeals Court Rules NYC’s Big Sugary Drink Ban Unconstitutional

THEBLAZE.COM 6 Hours Ago Blow to Bloomberg: Appeals Court Rules NYC's Big Sugary Drink Ban Unconstitutional by  Anthony Weiner NEW YORK (AP) — New York City's crackdown on big, sugary sodas is staying on ice. An appeals court ruled Tuesday that New York City's Board of Health exceeded its legal authority and acted unconstitutionally when it tried to put a size limit on soft drinks served in city restaurants. The state Supreme Court Appellate Division panel upheld a lower court decision that had delayed the measure before it took effect in March. The rule would stop many eateries from selling non-diet soda and other sugar-laden beverages in containers bigger than 16 ounces. The beverage industry and other opponents say the measure is riddled with exceptions, unfair and ineffective. The city's law department has promised an appeal. – Follow Becket Adams  (@BecketAdams ) on Twitter Featured image Getty Images. - Blow to Bloomberg: Appeals Court Rules NYC's Big Sugary

It was a government that was encroaching on our liberty." Daily Caller/Grae Stafford Lee's s
