Women stoned to death in Syria for adultery

Shared from Zite   None in the crowd stepped forward, said a witness to the event in a northern Syrian city. So the jihadi fighters, mostly foreign extremists, did it themselves, pelting Faddah Ahmad with stones until her body was dragged away. "Even when she was hit with stones she did not scream or move," said an opposition activist who said he witnessed the stoning near the football stadium and the Bajaa garden in the city of Raqqa, the main Syrian stronghold of the Islamic State group. Two Major News Organizations Have Questioned the High Palestinian Casualty Figures

Shared from Zite   "Among civilians, more than three times as many men were killed as women, while three times as many civilian men were killed as fighters," the BBC observed, adding, "If the Israeli attacks have been 'indiscriminate,' as the U.N. Human Rights Council says, it is hard to work out why they have killed so many more civilian men than women." Krauthammer on Iraq: 'Why in God's name we don't resupply our allies... is beyond me'

Gun owners correct Obama on Constitution

Shared from Zite   It states, "The  Second Amendment  gives citizens the right to bear arms." But the GOA letter argues the Second Amendment does not "give" citizens any rights. "Rather, as the U.S. Supreme Court explained in District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Second Amendment 'codifies,' 'protects,' and 'secure[s]' a right – rather than 'grants,' 'bestows,' or 'gives' one," said the letter, signed by GOA founder state Sen. H.L. "Bill" Richardson, Vice President Tim Macy, Executive Director Lawrence Pratt and board members Gerry Ognibene and Sam Paredes. Reciprocity Mix-Up Leads to Felony Charges for Philadelphia Mom

NRA-ILA GRASSROOTS ALERT:   Vol. 21, No. 31 08/08/2014 Reciprocity Mix-Up Leads to Felony Charges for Philadelphia Mom On Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Michael Donio declined to dismiss a case for unlawful possession of a firearm against Philadelphia resident Shaneen Allen. Allen was arrested during a traffic stop last October after she volunteered to the officer that she had a firearm in her car. She mistakenly believed her Pennsylvania license to carry firearms was valid in New Jersey. This was hardly an unreasonable assumption, considering that Pennsylvania concealed carry licensees can lawfully carry in over 30 other states.   Nevertheless, Judge Donio sided with prosecutors in deciding that Allen was not covered by a 180-day gun amnesty period for the surrender of firearms in New Jersey that happened to be occurring at the time of her arrest. The judge also refused to overrule the Atlantic County Prosecutor's decision to deny Allen a pre-trial intervention program that could h
