Major Firearm Conglomerate Cancels Colorado Expansion Because Of Gun Control

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 6 Hours Ago Major Firearm Conglomerate Cancels Colorado Expansion Because Of Gun Control Aug 27, 2013 Infidel Alie E xcerpted from  Big Government   – Gun control laws passed by Democrat state legislators and signed by Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) in March have missed an opportunity for Colorado to gain millions economically from any expansion of the Freedom Group Family of Companies (FGI). FGI includes Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, DPMS, Barnes Bullets, Para, and AAC among others. An anonymous source familiar with FGI told Breitbart News that this year's "passage of anti-gun legislation in Colorado has taken the Centennial State out of contention for expansion opportunities." There are many reasons for this, one of which is the foolishness of building or expanding manufacturing plants in Colorado for rifles and pistols that hold magazines that became illegal when Colorado's strict new gun control laws went into effect on July 1. For exampl...

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 5 Hours Ago Colorado Sheriffs Band Together to Overturn New Gun Control Laws Aug 27, 2013 Infidel Alie Excerpted from  Big Government  – Colorado GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo says sheriffs throughout CO have added momentum to efforts to overturn gun control laws that are infringing on the Second Amendment rights of Coloradans. When Breitbart News spoke with Tancredo on August 26, he said: "The laws that have been passed are being challenged by 55 Sheriffs, along with other Coloradans who anticipate the laws will be struck down because they are blatantly unconstitutional." In the interim he said winning the upcoming September 10 recall elections "will be the most important and powerful signal we can send." These recalls focus on Democrat state senators John Morse and Angela Giron, both of whom supported the gun control measures that Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper signed into law on March 20. These laws include a ban on ma...

Appeals court knocks down Montana law similar to Kansas’ Second Amendment Protection Act

WWW2.LJWORLD.COM 4 Hours Ago Appeals court knocks down Montana law similar to Kansas' Second Amendment Protection Act by  Scott Rothschild Topeka — A federal appeals court has ruled against a state law like the one in Kansas that declares federal firearms regulations don't apply to guns made and kept in the state. Last week, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a lower court decision against the 2009 Montana Firearms Freedom Act. The 9th Circuit doesn't include Kansas, but the decision focuses on a law that is similar to the Second Amendment Protection Act, which was approved by the Kansas Legislature this year and signed by Gov. Sam Brownback. The Second Amendment Protection Act excludes from federal regulation any gun made or owned in Kansas. It will allow law enforcement in Kansas to charge and convict federal authorities with crimes if they try to enforce action against a Kansas-protected gun. In April, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder wrote a letter to B...

REASON MAGAZINE 4 Hours Ago 5 Deceptions From Obama About NSA Surveillance by  Ed Krayewski OFAEdward Snowden's  disclosures  about the National Security Agency have put President Barack Obama and his subordinates in the White House and the intelligence community on the defensive. And to defend the program, they've relied on intentionally misleading or outright untrue claims. Here are 5 examples: White House1. "I welcome this debate, and I think it's healthy for our Democracy. I think it's a sign of maturity because probably five years ago, six years ago, we might not have been having this debate." — Obama press conference, June 7, 2013 . On June 7, the revelation that the NSA was collecting Verizon phone records was a major disclosure. But the story was very similar to a 2006 disclosure that the NSA was collecting phone records from Verizon and other telecom companies. That news, naturally, also fostered a debate about the NSA's program. Indeed, the reve...
