White House Lied About Editing Benghazi Talking Points

NEWS.INVESTORS.COM 2 Hours Ago White House Lied About Editing Benghazi Talking Points Scandal In Libya:  A new email dump shows that the White House, contrary to public statements, was heavily involved in editing the Benghazi talking points to remove all references to it being a terrorist attack. The limited, heavily redacted package of emails released by the administration Wednesday is noteworthy for what the emails don't say and reflect a concerted effort by the White House and State Department not to get at the truth but to put something together to help President Obama in an election two months out. The email package begins some 67 hours after the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi. It does not discuss the infamous YouTube video that U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice would refer to in her Sept. 16 foray on five Sunday talk shows or that President Obama would refer to six times in a Sept. 26 speech before the United Nations. The video is mentioned only brief

Breaking: Central figure in IRS scandal now runs Obamacare

EXAMINER.COM 2 Hours Ago Breaking: Central figure in IRS scandal now runs Obamacare by  Anthony Martin A sleight of hand technique that is obviously designed to keep the perpetrators of illegal activity in cushy jobs within the  Obama administration  has been reported late this evening  by ABC News . The woman who is the central figure in the  IRS scandal  involving the targeting and harassment of hundreds of conservative groups during an election year is now running the Obamacare division of the IRS and is charged with oversight of the implementation and enforcement of the government's new healthcare system. According to ABC News,  Sarah Hall Ingram  ran the IRS office that is responsible for tax-exempt groups from 2009 to 2012 -- the period of time during which hundreds of conservative groups were singled out for delays, illegal demands for donor lists, and other unlawful activity that prevented many from being granted tax exempt status while at the same time putting liberal gro

House votes to repeal ObamaCare in 229-125 vote

FOX NEWS 3 Hours Ago House votes to repeal ObamaCare in 229-125 vote The Republican led house has voted, for the 37th time, to repeal President Obama's health care law, even though GOP lawmakers know the Senate will not follow suit. Democrats have called efforts to defund or partly scale back the Affordable Care Act a waste of time -- even an obsession. But Republicans see a political advantage to keeping the pressure up as the administration tries to get all the moving parts of the law working in the next few months. They're hoping that problems with its implementation will help them recapture the Senate in next year's midterm elections. The Associated Press contributed to this report. Benghazi Email Dump

Thursday, May 16th Benghazi Email Dump Last night, the White House dumped 100 pages of emails related to the Benghazi talking points. A few things. First of all, how hard was that? Congress has been begging for these emails for months and they suddenly show up now? This leads to my second point, which is that I believe they were dumped yesterday in order to distract us from this IRS scandal. Keep in mind that the emails were released to the public just one hour before Obama addressed the nation and announced the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner. This was designed perfectly to distract. And finall

MILLER: Maryland Gov. O’Malley may be smiling over gun-control law, but last laugh is on him

O'Malley may be smiling over gun-control law, but last laugh is on him  The Washington Times ^  | May 16, 2013 | Emily Miller Posted on  05/16/2013 12:08:16 PM PDT  by  jazusamo Maryland citizens had their Second Amendments rights infringed on Thursday when Gov. Martin O'Malley signed more gun control into law. Mr. O'Malley became the third liberal governor this year — after New York and Connecticut — to ram through pointless laws that will do nothing to reduce crime by exploiting the Newtown tragedy. However, Mr. O'Malley's scheme was secretly watered down a little before it became law. The governor was fixated on banning "assault weapons," even though only two people were murdered by rifles of any type in Maryland in 2011. However, O'Malley's "assault weapons" is less stri

IRS got marching orders from at least two Democrat senators

CAINTV.COM 5 Hours Ago IRS got marching orders from at least two Democrat senators by  Dan Calabrese By DAN CALABRESE - Not to mention any names . . .  Baucus and Schumer! If you think back, some of you might even remember this. Far from the claim that this was merely two rogue employees in the Cincinnati office gone off the rails, top Democrats on Capitol Hill made it very clear when the Tea Party was on the rise that they wanted the IRS to dog the conservative groups on the premise that they might be "abusing" the system. Max Baucus of Montana is first up,  via CNS News : On September 29, 2010, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Sen. Max Baucus (D- Montana) wrote a letter to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) calling for an investigation into the political activities of tax-exempt groups. In the  letter  sent to then-IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman, Baucus wrote: "The Senate Finance Committee has jurisdiction over revenue matters, and the Committee is responsible for con

True the Vote: IRS Demanded Record of Every Meeting Since Inception

True the Vote has also accused  the Department of Justice (DOJ) of scrutinizing their organization. The questions from the IRS were far-reaching and intrusive, and some members of Congress have called for  criminal investigations  into those individuals in the IRS who participated in the abuse of power.  The questions range from the mundane to the IRS requiring knowledge of the identity of each and every volunteer True the Vote has worked with. The IRS also demanded all minutes or notes from any meeting the organization ever held.  An un-redacted copy of the set of of questions is pr

The Obama Scandals Aren’t About Bad Government, but Big Government

REDSTATE 5 Hours Ago The Obama Scandals Aren't About Bad Government, but Big Government by  Mike Lee By: Senator Mike Lee  ( Diary )  | May 16th, 2013 at 12:42 PM |  RESIZE: AAA "Part of being president is there's so much beneath you that you can't know because the government is so vast." When scandal rocks any administration, its partisan opponents smell blood in the water and move in to inflict as much political damage on the president as possible. Consultants assure us it'll "gin up the base." It makes headlines. And it's always easy to kick someone when he's down. But for conservatives, especially in the case of the various scandals enveloping the Obama Administration this month, it's also unwise. For these scandals present conservatives a much greater opportunity than the chance to win a few news cycles or claim a few bureaucratic scalps. The ballooning Obama scandals – IRS, HHS, DOJ, EPA – are not really about character or competen

Why Did The DOJ Get AP’s Phone Records?

THERIGHTSPHERE.COM 4 Hours Ago Why Did The DOJ Get AP's Phone Records? Posted by  RB  in  Blog  on May 16, 2013 1:08 pm /  no comments When the scandalous story about the DOJ secretly obtaining the phone records of phones used by the Associated Press, the usual suspects tried to excuse it as a "normal" case of the government investigating possible leaks of classified information. Sure, it was an unprecedented breach of freedom of the press, but hey, national security. Well, it turns out  national security might not have been  why the subpoenas were obtained in secret: For five days, reporters at the Associated Press had been sitting on  a big scoop  about a foiled al-Qaeda plot at the request of CIA officials. Then, in a hastily scheduled Monday morning meeting, the journalists were asked by agency officials to hold off on publishing the story for just one more day. The CIA officials, who had initially cited national security concerns in an attempt to delay publication,
