Dear liberty patriot, Last week I did again what I always do. I voted against unconstitutional spending .  I voted against the terrible budget compromise. And John Cornyn will do what he has always done, which is his usual election year conversion. The annual lighting of the Capitol Christmas tree and lighting of the Capitol menorah signal the start of the holiday season and a wind-down of the year on Capitol Hill. We’ve put together an interactive timeline to capture some of the key events of 2013. As we look ahead to 2014, I am proud of the work we’ve done on a variety of issues including education – both K-12 and higher education, new jobs, running the state like a business, and promoting healthy behaviors.
