Iron County Utah Tells Feds – Don’t Try to Enforce Gun Laws Here

FREEDOMOUTPOST.COM 3 Hours Ago Iron County Utah Tells Feds – Don’t Try to Enforce Gun Laws Here by Tim Brown Iron County, Utah is making a preemptive strike against the Federal government’s attempts to infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of its citizens. According to a press release, “Laws that violate 2nd Amendment are null and void and have no effect in Iron County, Utah.” Today in Southwest Utah, the Iron County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously in passing an Iron County Second Amendment Protection Resolution. This is the second Resolution passed in the county, the first being the Cedar City Second Amendment Resolution passed by the City Council. In that resolution, passed by Cedar City on February 13th, 2013, the Chief of Police is directed to support the resolution if the federal government attempts to enforce federal gun laws. The county Resolution makes it clear that the county does not recognize any federal acts, laws, orders, rules, executive orders, or r

Wisconsin’s New Concealed Carry Law (and a Former Marine) Just Saved This Woman’s Life

THEBLAZE.COM 8 Hours Ago Wisconsin’s New Concealed Carry Law (and a Former Marine) Just Saved This Woman’s Life by Billy Hallowell A West Allis, Wisc., man stumbled upon a dangerous — and potentially deadly — situation while driving home at 4 a.m. on Tuesday. Charlie Blackmore, a Marine Corps veteran, saw a woman on the ground being repeatedly kicked in the head and stomach. Blackmore quickly got out of his car and told the male assailant to stop attacking the woman. And that’s when the perpetrator, 44-year-old Kenneth Harris, started charging toward him. Little did Harris know, but Blackmore was carrying a gun. “I said ‘stop’ and he starts coming towards me and that’s when I drew on him,” the brave vet told WITI-TV. “He started getting closer and I said ‘get down on the ground.” Blackmore then called the police and held his gun on the perpetrator until they arrived. In the mean time, though, Harris apparently kept moving toward him. Watch the WITI-TV report: “I mean I’v
DEADSPIN 10 Hours Ago Why Is One Of The NBA's All-Time Greatest Scorers Working As A Crossing Guard Now? Day after day, Adrian Dantley hangs out on a street corner in his hometown, like some cliché of a pitiful ex-ballplayer years after his athletic prime. But Dantley's neither a cliché, nor is he pitiful. He's a crossing guard. The greatest 6-foot-5 post player in the history of the NBA now pulls morning and afternoon shifts at a busy intersection outside Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring, Md. The job, which he took at the beginning of this school year, earns him $14,685.50 a year,  according to Montgomery County civil service records . "He doesn't need the money," a Dantley associate tells me. The guard-forward was legendarily cheap during his long and fruitful NBA career, and he still lives nearby in a home he purchased in 1990 for $1.1 million, one that a former agent said "was virtually free and clear" of debt back in 1996. &

Senators aim to protect vets’ gun rights

WND.COM 1 Hour Ago Senators aim to protect vets’ gun rights by Bob Unruh Just days after WND published multiple reports about how returning veterans were being deprived of their Second Amendment rights without a court-based adjudication competency process, members of the U.S. Senate say they have had enough, and are seeking a change. Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., is being joined by nearly a dozen of his fellow senators to make a change that would end the “arbitrary process that strips veterans of rights.” “Depriving someone of a constitutional right is a serious action, and veterans should be afforded the same treatment under the law as all other American citizens,” said Burr. “This legislation would protect the rights of veterans and their families by ensuring that only a proper judicial authority is able to determine who is referred to [the National Criminal Background Check System.]” He said, “Our veterans took an oath to uphold the Constitution and they deserve to enjoy th

According to Nancy Pelosi , the GOP is essentially at war with the government. So if you don’t believe in government, then, bless their hearts, they a
