Pelosi: We Must Uphold Our Oath To The Constitution By Passing Gun Control

POLITICALOUTCAST.COM 6 Hours Ago Pelosi: We Must Uphold Our Oath To The Constitution By Passing Gun Control by  Philip Hodges It's been just over a year since James Holmes entered an Aurora, Colorado "gun-free" theater and shot up a bunch of defenseless movie-goers. Since then, gun control activists have capitalized off of the murder victims in their attempt to appeal to Americans' emotions. When that debate began to fizzle, Sandy Hook conveniently happened in a gun-free school, and since it involved more people and little kids, politicians were able to more effectively tug at America's heartstrings to convince people that gun confiscation is really the most responsible thing to do to combat "gun violence." But because of the evil gun lobby, even the "compromised" Manchin-Toomey bill failed in the Senate. Now, we're waiting for the next act of mass murder that is sure to be bigger, bloodier and better than Sandy Hook and Aurora combined. A

Pennsylvania police chief under fire after posting pro-gun YouTube rants

RT.COM 28 Minutes Ago Pennsylvania police chief under fire after posting pro-gun YouTube rants Get short URL Published time: July 24, 2013 20:27 Tags Arms ,  Internet ,  Law ,  Police ,  UN ,  USA The chief of police in a small Pennsylvania town is coming under fire for a handful of strongly-worded diatribes he's uploaded to the Internet — so much so that his pro-gun YouTube rants might get him removed from the job. Gilberton Borough, PA Police Chief Mark Kessler is opposed to gun control and isn't too reserved about making that clear. In addition to being the top cop in the small town of around 900, he leads a homegrown militia called Chief Kessler's Constitution Security Force, initiated the local nullification of national gun laws and regularly weighs in on Second Amendment issues using an array of active social media accounts. Some residents of Gilberton say his online activities are simply over the top, however, and are questioning whether he should stay chief of poli

Obama Blames Five Years of a Bad Economy on "Phony Scandals" and "Distractions"

TOWNHALL.COM 2 Hours Ago Obama Blames Five Years of a Bad Economy on "Phony Scandals" and "Distractions" by  Katie Pavlich President Obama did his best to shift his administration's focus to the economy today during a speech at Illinois' Knox College by blaming the anemic economy on Republicans and "phony scandals." As predicted, Obama gave America the same speech he's been giving for five years, saying the country needs more infrastructure spending due to crumbling roads and bridges, that we must fight poverty, that CEOs are making too much money while the poor suffer etc. He even went so far as to tout "saving the auto industry" one week after Detroit filed for bankruptcy. "Today, five years after the start of that Great Recession, America has fought its way back. Together, we saved the auto industry, took on a broken health care system, and invested in new American technologies to reverse our addiction to foreign oil and doub

Gun buyback at Boulder County sheriff's compound canceled over new Colorado gun laws

THEDENVERCHANNEL.COM 5 Hours Ago Gun buyback at Boulder County sheriff's compound canceled over new Colorado gun laws BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - Organizers have canceled a gun buyback at the request of Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle, who says Colorado's new gun laws would make it nearly impossible to comply. Pelle says a strict law that went into effect July 1 requires buyers to go to a licensed firearms dealer and undergo a background check. The computer systems are not portable and could not be used at the sheriff's compound where the buyback was planned next month. The  Boulder Daily Camera  reports the group would have to find a licensed firearms dealer to hold the event and then pay the dealer for each transaction, which would be too expensive and too difficult.
