BREITBART.COM 3 Hours Ago Total White House Visits By Former IRS Head Shulman Now at 157 and Climbing by  Michael Patrick Leahy by  Michael Patrick Leahy 30 May 2013, 12:32 PM PDT post a comment The total number of Obama White House visits made by Mr. Shulman is likely to be greater than the 157 reported by the Daily Caller. The White House has yet to release its visitor log during the eight months beginning on January 20, 2009, when President Obama was inaugurated, and September 16, 2009, when it began publicly reporting visitor access. Shulman, who donated $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2004, was appointed IRS Commissioner by President Bush in March 2008 and resigned in November 2012. "What would be some of the reasons you might be at the White House?" During the 3 year and four month period beginning September 16, 2009 and ending January 31, 2013, Shulman visited the Obama White House almost twice as many times as any other current or former member of the Ob

Illinois Tops Nation in Growth of Food Stamp Recipients

BREITBART.COM 3 Hours Ago Illinois Tops Nation in Growth of Food Stamp Recipients by  Todd Huston by  Warner Todd Huston 30 May 2013, 12:35 PM PDT post a comment According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 15.7 percent of the Land of Lincoln's population are now enrolled in the food stamp program. As Joe Schoffstall  points out : "The USDA's  latest data  shows 2,023,635 Illinoisans were enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in February 2013. In February of 2012, 1,831,898 people took part in the program. That's an  increase of 10.5 percent  in just one year." "Illinois was the only state to see a double-digit increase of the number of residents enrolled in the SNAP program from the same time period last year." Schoffstall further notes that, "Illinois was the only state to see a double-digit increase of the number of residents enrolled in the SNAP program from the same time period last year." Affordable ‘Tactical Rifle Adapter’ Gives Real-Time Ballistics and Shooter Point-of-View Video

THEBLAZE.COM 3 Hours Ago Affordable 'Tactical Rifle Adapter' Gives Real-Time Ballistics and Shooter Point-of-View Video by  Liz Klimas A new  "tactical rifle adapter"  hitting the market in June aims to give shooters real-time ballistics and environmental data, while also allowing them to take hands-free, point-of-view video. Jason Giddings is a firearm enthusiast by hobby and an engineer by trade. So when he wanted to take video footage of some of his shooting endeavors and found it difficult — as one would imagine — to hold both his iPhone and gun at the same time, he came up with a solution. Within just a few weeks  Inteliscope , which combines a mount and app, was born. The Inteliscope system uses a smartphone mount and app. Currently it is only available for iPhone and iPod, but an Android version is being developed. (Image: Inteliscope) The Inteliscope system allows users to shoot video from the rifleman's perspective with a digital zoom of up to five times

41,000 Americans Want Dem Sen. Diane Feinstein Tried For Treason

WEASELZIPPERS.US 3 Hours Ago 41,000 Americans Want Dem Sen. Diane Feinstein Tried For Treason Poor DiFi. Via  Red Alert : The White House recently came to Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-Calif.) rescue, defending her  2013 assault weapons ban  against a seething  White House petition  to have her tried for treason. The petition, which was created on December 27 th , 2012 and has more than 41,000 signatures, opposed Sen. Feinstein's 2013 assault weapons ban and called for the California Senator to be tried by a federal court for treason against the Constitution. [...] However the harsh words against the Democratic Senator were  countered by an official response from the White House . The response appears to have been conveniently released over the Memorial Day weekend but Red Alert Politics is unable to determine the exact date of the response. The response titled, "Where We Agree and Where We Don't" states that the White House does not "believe that Senator Diann

Holder media backlash intensifies - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

THEHILL.COM 2 Hours Ago Holder media backlash intensifies - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room by  Ian Swanson Tweet Major news outlets lined up to reject Attorney General Eric Holder's offer of an off-the-record meeting Thursday as his conflict with the press corps escalated. The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Huffington Post and CNN were the first major outlets to decline the offer, and Fox News, Reuters, CBS News, and McClatchy soon followed. The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, ABC News and Politico have said they plan on attending the meeting, while NBC is still unsure. The boycotting news outlets said that the DOJ's insistence that the media groups not report on the content of the discussions violated their journalistic guidelines or was a conflict of interest. "They don't help us inform the public," McClatchy Washington Bureau Chief James Asher told  Poynter  about off-the-record meetings. "This one seems designed mostly to make a publi

Krauthammer: Obama a ‘fraud,’ ‘Wizard of Oz’

DAILYCALLER.COM 1 Hour Ago Krauthammer: Obama a 'fraud,' 'Wizard of Oz' by  Jeff Poor Tweet "It is amazing, and there are two parts to that" On Dennis Miller's radio show on Thursday, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to what Miller called "the new normal" — lowered expectations for the American economy — calling President Barack Obama a "fraud" and comparing him to "a Wizard of Oz." "It is amazing, and there are two parts to that," Krauthammer said. "The first is, 'You didn't build it.' This is the ideology of, you know, 'I built the roads, I gave you your grade school.' And thus, if you invent the iPad, I did it, you didn't — which is just preposterous. And the other part of this is that liberals measure success in their sort of compassion ratings by the number of people on food stamps, welfare. The larger the number, the more compassionate you are, whereas a conser

Keep the IRS Away From Our Health Care

FREEDOMWORKS.ORG 3 Hours Ago Keep the IRS Away From Our Health Care In the wake of the reports that the International Revenue Service inappropriately targeted groups based on their political views, do we really want the IRS in charge of our health care? That's right… the IRS has a central role in implementing the massive ObamaCare law. The most obvious way that the agency is involved is through collecting the  18 new taxes  in ObamaCare. Despite Obama's promises not to raise taxes on Americans making less than $250,000 annually, most of these taxes will hit the middle class.  Here is a  timeline  from the Heritage Foundation on the taxes in ObamaCare: But that's not all. The IRS has  47 new duties  and enforcement powers under the law and has requested  2,000  more agents to help implement ObamaCare in 2013 alone. These duties include  collecting  information on health insurance plans by requiring employers to inform the IRS on whether an employee has insurance. You will b

Holder Off-The-Record

Thursday, May 30th Holder Off The Record Something very interesting has been unfolding over the last day or so. It has to do with Eric Holder's request to meet off-the-record with journalists to discuss the Justice Department's handling of leaks to the media. The key phrase is "off-the-record." It's almost laughable that Holder would make such a request, considering the nature of what he wants to discuss. I'm not the only one to view this off the record request incredulously: Fox News, CNN, the New York Times, the Associated Press and the Huffington Post have all denied Holder's re
