Gov. O'Shameless, meet your brother and president

WASHINGTON EXAMINER 2 Hours Ago Gov. O'Shameless, meet your brother and president by Gregory Kane Until this past Wednesday, I didn't think there was another elected official in the country more shameless than Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley. Enter one President Barack Hussein Obama this past Wednesday, laying down the executive orders he believes will lead to decreased gun violence, and playing the "I love kids" card. Let me be clear: This president does NOT love children. Not unborn ones, anyway. His passion for abortion and the Roe v. Wade decision are renowned. Others might let him get away with claiming he loves the kiddies, but I'm not about to. And ditto for his political party. Maryland's leading Democrats, virtually all of them supporters of abortion on demand, taxpayer-funded abortions and abortions for minors without parental consent, want to abolish the death penalty because, in their words, they don't want to execute an innocent p

GOP Senator John Barrasso: Gun Control Bills Won’t Pass In Congress, Reid Won’t Bring Vote

MEDIAITE 8 Hours Ago GOP Senator John Barrasso: Gun Control Bills Won’t Pass In Congress, Reid Won’t Bring Vote by Anjali Sareen Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) told Candy Crowley Sunday that he doesn’t expect Congress to pass bills on universal background checks for gun owners or limits on the size of gun magazines. Barrasso said he believed Americans were more focused on “jobs and the economy and the debt and spending” than guns. “That’s the big anxiety in this country,” he added. He said he believed President Obama was “failing to try to find a solution to the problem of the tragedy of Newtown” because he has “essentially ignored the issues of mental health and violence in society, in the media and video games.” According to Barrasso, Obama has focused too much on “what may be happening at gun shows or gun shelves and gun stores.” Barrasso also indicated he doesn’t expect Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to bring the gun control bills to a vote. “He has six Democrat

Sen. Ted Cruz Calls Out Obama’s Gun Control Hypocrisy

SHARK-TANK.NET 17 Minutes Ago Sen. Ted Cruz Calls Out Obama’s Gun Control Hypocrisy by Javier Manjarres By Javier Manjarres Senator Ted Cruz appeared on NBC’s ’Meet the Press’ along side Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) to discuss the ongoing gun rights debate, and the President Obama’s gun ban wish-list. The President has laid out 23 Executive Orders to “curb gun violence” and is hoping that the Congress will deliver to him what he has wanted all along, a ban on ‘assault weapons’ and high-capacity magazines. Cruz called out the President and his shameless exploitation of the Newtown shooting, as a move to only appease and “appeal to his political partisans.” Cruz added that considering Connecticut has the some of the toughest gun laws in the country, this tragedy could not have been prevented. Here is a what Senator Cruz said on Gun Rights on Meet the Press. Watch the video below- “I do think there is a fundamental point here, and there is a point of hypocrisy when it

Bill Clinton: Democrats Must Respect Gun Rights, Culture

NEWS MAX 4 Hours Ago Bill Clinton: Democrats Must Respect Gun Rights, Culture Former President Bill Clinton has a warning for top Democratic donors: Don't underestimate weapons rights supporters. Clinton, speaking to a group of Democrats at the Obama National Finance Committee Saturday, said gun control gets a special emotional response from people in rural states, and dismissing pro-gun arguments can backfire. “Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them,” Clinton said, Politico reported. “A lot of these people live in a world very different from the world lived in by the people proposing these things,” Clinton said. “I know because I come from this world." Some polls say that the public supports proposals for increased gun control, Politico reports, but Clinton said emotions will rule when it comes to legislation on gun control. “All these polls that you see saying the public is for us on all these issues — they

Are you ‘too Angry’ to own a gun?

TEAPARTY.ORG 4 Hours Ago NBCNEWS: Are you ‘too Angry’ to own a gun? (NBC) – If there’s one thing Republicans and Democrats can agree on, it’s that mentally ill people should not have access to firearms. But as lawmakers rush to restrict that access in the wake of recent mass shootings, mental health experts warn of unintended consequences: from gun owners avoiding mental health treatment to therapists feeling compelled to report every patient who expresses a violent thought. SPECIAL: Gun Owners of America Joins TeaParty.org to Fund “Youth Firearms Training Initiative” “Many patients express some idea of harm to other people, everything from, ‘I wish I could rip my boss limb from limb,’ to, ‘I have a gun and want to blow that guy away,’” said Paul Applebaum, director of the Division of Law, Ethics, and Psychiatry at Columbia University. Therapists usually interpret this sort of talk as part of the treatment process, experts say. But under a new law in New York, one of the st

Today, some more fantastic photos from the Daily Mail and more on the size of the crowds: Thousands of gun advocates gathered peacefully Saturday at state capitals around the U.S. to rally against stricter limits on firearms, with demonstrators carrying rifles and pistols in some places while those elsewhere settled for waving hand-scrawled signs or screaming themselves hoarse. The size of crowds at each location varied – from dozens of people in South Dakota to 2,000 in New York. Large crowds also turned out in Connecticut, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Washington state. Some demonstrators in Olympia, Wash., Phoenix, Salem, Ore., and Salt Lake City came with holstered handguns or rifles on their backs. At the Kentucky Capitol in Frankfort, attendees gave a special round of applause for ‘the ladies that are packin’.

Plouffe: President Has Enough Votes to Pass Gun Control

NEWS MAX 4 Hours Ago Plouffe: President Has Enough Votes to Pass Gun Control by Amy Woods White House adviser David Plouffe said Sunday that he believes President Barack Obama has sufficient votes in Congress to pass gun-control legislation. Nevertheless, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt, a Republican from Missouri, said he wants to see a detailed gun control plan from Obama. “Let’s do things better rather than take an opportunity to go after an old agenda,” Blunt said today on “Fox News Sunday.” “There has to be a plan that could possibly work or the president won’t get it done,” he said. Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” which was televised from the National Mall in Washington D.C., Plouffe, said he believes the White House has 60 votes in the Senate and 218 in the House from Democrats and Republicans. “I think Newtown has changed the debate,” Plouffe said, referring to the deadly shooting at a Connecticut elementary school in December of 2012. “Sadly, it took a tragedy l

Top Democrats optimistic Congress will pass gun control legislation, with outside Washington help

FOX NEWS 1 Hour Ago Top Democrats optimistic Congress will pass gun control legislation, with outside Washington help Top Democrats expressed confidence Sunday that Congress will pass significant gun-control legislation, with the backing of Washington lawmakers and pressure from Americans across the country. David Plouffe, a senior adviser for President Obama, acknowledged the president’s gun-control proposals will need public support to pass in Congress and said the White House will try to “enlist” Americans in the debate through its newly formed, grassroots advocacy group. “We are trying to enlist the American people in these debates,” Plouffe said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” “The only way change is going to really happen and make progress is with the American people. … They need to be involved at the center of this and pushing here.” However, he argued that Obama essentially converting his re-election campaign into the group Organizing for Action doesn’t mean the presid
