Obama's Scandals Stem from His Lawless Presidency

NEWS.INVESTORS.COM 3 Hours Ago Obama's Scandals Stem from His Lawless Presidency Last Friday, after the Associated Press learned about the Justice Department's sweeping seizure of its phone records, AP CEO Gary Pruitt said "there can be no possible justification" for the action. No doubt that's true. But there also seems to be no possible justification for the many other scandals now swamping the Obama administration — from Benghazi, to the IRS scandal to the White House's attempt to shake down health companies for ObamaCare money. Except that they all stem from a common root — President Obama's callous disregard for the rule of law. When not grousing about "this big, messy, tough democracy," or joking about having the IRS audit groups that don't do his bidding, or talking about how "we're gonna punish our enemies" (meaning his political opponents), Obama has repeatedly and casually flouted legal roadblocks whenever they got in

No, the Obama admin still isn’t charging wind companies for killing eagles

HOTAIR.COM 3 Hours Ago No, the Obama admin still isn't charging wind companies for killing eagles by  Erika Johnsen posted at 8:01 pm on May 14, 2013 by Erika Johnsen When it comes to enforcing the environmental laws concerning certain species of federally-protected birds, the Obama administration and their environmentalist allies have been impressively diligent in charging oil companies, coal plants, and power stations when said birds get tangled up in their power lines or drown in their waste pits; in the past five years, prosecutors have managed to wrack up tens of millions of dollars in fines and settlements from various businesses, including oil and gas companies, for these egregious offenses. "There are serious concerns that the Obama administration is not implementing this law fairly and equally" When it comes to winds farms, however, the federal  government has been  oddly negligent  in enforcing these same laws — which is weird, seeing as how the American wind i

Obama Betrays Media Lapdogs: Secretly, Illegally Obtained Records of Journalists

ATLAS SHRUGS 2 Hours Ago Obama Betrays Media Lapdogs: Secretly, Illegally Obtained Records of Journalists by  Sari Horwitz Ha! Obama's lapdog media is shocked  (shocked, I tell ya)  to have been betrayed by the most dangerous man who ever sat in the Oval Office. They were stunned to find that they were not immune to Obama's now trademark abuse of power. Did they really think that just because they carried his water and covered up his failures, ignored real news stories that made him look bad, and attacked his adversaries that they wouldn't suffer the same gross injustices as the rest of us? I, for one, am laughing at these tools. Lord knows what Obama got off those phone records. But a good many AP tools must be quaking in their boots. Impeachable offense? For sure-- but not anymore than Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the Obama OBL NAVY SEAL leak, etc --- That WaPo is still polishing O's knob indicates how beyond help these lovesick puppies are. Check out the WaPo headlin

NBC Nightly News Compares Obama To Nixon

WEASELZIPPERS.US 2 Hours Ago NBC Nightly News Compares Obama To Nixon Earlier today Carney  warned the media  not to make comparisons to Nixon, apparently it didn't work. BRIAN WILLIAMS : Good evening. As a lot of American adults not so fondly remember, the last time the government was found looking into the phone calls of reporters and using the IRS for political purposes, it was the Nixon era, and while times have changed and circumstances are different, that subject came up at the Obama White House today as the administration now scrambles on several fronts. We begin with the potentially illegal use of the IRS to scrutinize some American groups and citizens because of their politics, and in this case because of conservative politics. Again, this is just one front we're covering tonight. NBC Nightly News Compares Obama To Nixon http://weaselzippers.us/2013/05/14/nbc-nightly-news-compares-obama-to-nixon/ John Hames

Behind the Curtain: D.C. turns on Obama

POLITICO.COM 2 Hours Ago Behind the Curtain: D.C. turns on Obama by  Mike Allen The town is turning on President Obama – and this is very bad news for this White House. Republicans have waited five years for the moment to put the screws to Obama – and they have one-third of all congressional committees on the case now. Establishment Democrats, never big fans of this president to begin with, are starting to speak out. And reporters are tripping over themselves to condemn lies, bullying and shadiness in the Obama administration. Continue Reading "It's never all right if you're the president. There is no smooth sailing. So now he has the turbulence, and this is the ultimate test of his leadership." Text Size Buy-in from all three D.C. stakeholders is an essential ingredient for a good old fashioned Washington pile-on — so get ready for bad stories and public scolding to pile-up.  THEBLAZE.COM 1 Hour Ago EPA Allegedly Playing Favorites with Fee Requests: Another White House Scandal? by  Jim Gaffigan Getty Images Before we get into the meat of this story, let's do a quick recap of the Obama administration's most recent scandals: "This is a clear pattern of favoritism for allied groups and a concerted campaign to make life more difficult for those deemed unfriendly" There are still unanswered questions regarding the Benghazi talking points The Internal Revenue Service admitted last week to harassing conservative groups HHS Secretary  Kathleen Sebelius asks companies in industry  she has an enormous amount of power over to donate money to help implement Obamacare. The Department of Justice was caught Monday with at least two months worth of the Associated Press' phone records Needless to say, it'll take all of the Obama administration's concentration and political savvy to make it through the next few weeks (months maybe?). Could thin

Kerry Apologizes For America In Sweden

BREITBART.COM 37 Minutes Ago Kerry Apologizes For America In Sweden Secretary of State John Kerry speaking today in Stockholm, Sweden on climate change "I also want to say that we appreciate Sweden's partnership because these challenges in Europe and North Africa and Central Asia simply do not belong to one nation; they're shared by all of us and they affect all of us. And at the top of that list of shared challenges which does not get enough attention, and it's one of the principal reasons that I came here today to share bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister but also will travel on to Kiruna to take part in the Arctic Council, a principal challenge to all of us of life and death proportions is the challenge of climate change. It is not a challenge that can be solved by any one nation, and in our discussions with the Prime Minister he pointed out to me that, in fact, Sweden's contribution to the problem of – to the problem of climate

FLASHBACK 2012: Democrat Senators Demand IRS Scrutinize Tea Party Groups

THEGATEWAYPUNDIT.COM 34 Minutes Ago FLASHBACK 2012: Democrat Senators Demand IRS Scrutinize Tea Party Groups by  Jim Hoft In March of 2012 Democratic Senators sent a letter to the Internal Revenue Service demanding that Tea Party groups get extra scrutiny  (harassment). The Democrats even threatened legislative action if the IRS did not act. From  Sen. Chuck Schumer's website : A group of seven Senate Democrats urged the Internal Revenue Service on Monday to impose a strict cap on the amount of political spending by tax-exempt, nonprofit groups. The senators said the lack of clarity in the IRS rules has allowed political groups to improperly claim 501(c)4 status and may even be allowing donors to these groups to wrongly claim tax deductions for their contributions. The senators promised legislation if the IRS failed to act to fix these problems. "We urge the IRS to take these steps immediately to prevent abuse of the tax code by political groups focused on federal election ac

Zombie Gun Control Bill in Minnesota? Not On Our Watch!

AMMOLAND.COM 5 Hours Ago Zombie Gun Control Bill in Minnesota? Not On Our Watch! An update from the capitol: Minnesota Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance Minnesota Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance Minnesota - -( Ammoland.com )- Senator Ron Latz (DFL-St. Louis Park)  announced last night  that he intended to resurrect a gun bill  this morning,  after the leadership had announced that there would be no gun bills heard this year. We were able to mobilize a quick reaction from our Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/gocra ), and we worked this morning with Latz and other legislators to ensure that only good language got through the House finance committee. We are at the Capitol this afternoon, keeping an eye on things  and making sure nothing bad gets added in conference committee. The streamlined bill contains some genuinely positive improvements to the NICS system, which should help ensure that prohibited people are actually entered into the national system — and removed when their prohibiti
