CONSERVATIVEVIDEOS.COM 2 Hours Ago Why You Need Full Capacity Magazines May 4, 2013 at 8:34 am Bad guys don't operate alone. They often travel in packs. We've reported multiple self defense stories on this site where more than FOUR assailants were involved. Do you really want to take your chances with 10 (or 7 in NY) rounds in your magazine? This is the first of several Public Service Announcements MB Studio Productions will be producing to demonstrate who gun laws really affect and why they don't work. Don't let your government decided how many rounds you need to protect your family. Content Warning: Violence, Language

Newly elected NRA president falsely maligned

EXAMINER.COM 2 Hours Ago Newly elected NRA president falsely maligned by  Anthony Martin No sooner had the  NRA  elected its new president at its annual convention in Houston, Texas this weekend than the collectivist press got busy maligning him. The headlines at the New York Daily News blared, " NRA's new president is worse than Wayne LaPierre. " LaPierre, of course, is for many the public face of the NRA, appearing on television often during debates and/or conflict concerning gun legislation in Congress or gun rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court. He is not an elected official but a full-time NRA employee, serving as executive vice president. The office of the president of the organization, however, is an elected office, and the chosen candidate serves a two year term. The Daily News has a most apparent problem with the newly elected president, James Porter, an attorney who hails from the state of Alabama. The Daily News stated, Elected on the eve of the NRA's annua

[Video] Senator Ted Cruz Releases Youtube Video Calling Out Obama Administration on Gun Control

GUNSSAVELIVES.NET 2 Hours Ago [Video] Senator Ted Cruz Releases Youtube Video Calling Out Obama Administration on Gun Control Texas Junior Senator Ted Cruz (R), has released a video on Youtube calling out the current administration for their handling of gun control and preventing violent crime. The video, title "Three Questions", asks why the prosecution of gun crime is down. The video ends with a direct message to the President. Mr. President, If you want to protect our children, target criminals, not law-abiding citizens. Ted Cruz has been an outspoken supporter of Constitutional rights and along with Senator Rand Paul, of Kentucky, represents a newer generation of conservatives which seem to be a mixture of old school conservatism, libertarianism, and a little bit of Tea Party thrown in. We're not sure what you call this brand of politics, but we like it.

How States Are Making It a Felony to Enforce Federal Gun Laws

TRUTH-OUT.ORG 2 Hours Ago How States Are Making It a Felony to Enforce Federal Gun Laws by  Lois Beckett (Image:  Spilled ammo  via Shutterstock)In mid-April, Kansas passed a law asserting that federal gun regulations  do not apply  to guns made and owned in Kansas. Under the law, Kansans could manufacture and sell semi-automatic weapons in-state without a federal license or any federal oversight. Kansas' " Second Amendment Protection Act " backs up its states' rights claims with a penalty aimed at federal agents: when dealing with "Made in Kansas" guns, any attempt to enforce federal law is now a felony. Bills similar to Kansas' law have been introduced in at least 37 other states. An  even broader bill  is on the desk of Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell. That bill would exempt any gun owned by an Alaskan from federal regulation. In Missouri, a bill declaring federal gun laws " null and void " passed by an overwhelming majority in the state house, an

NRA Celebrates Gun Control Defeat as Tension Builds for Senators (Houston)

CHICAGO TRIBUNE 12 Hours Ago NRA Celebrates Gun Control Defeat as Tension Builds for Senators (Houston) by  Julie Bykowicz HOUSTON — Weeks after the Senate defeated a proposed expansion of background checks on gun purchases, the annual conference of the National Rifle Association here has a celebratory atmosphere. "I was so proud of the American public, and the NRA, for putting enough pressure on our politicians," Neil Solt of Cypress said Thursday while waiting to have his World War II heirloom guns appraised at a pre-convention event. Yet as the festivities begin, gun-control advocates are swarming town halls, organizing petitions and buying local ads to pressure senators from Alaska to New Hampshire to reconsider the measure that failed by six votes on April 17. They also are descending on Houston to protest outside the NRA event. "I was so proud of the American public, and the NRA, for putting enough pressure on our politicians" In Washington on Thursday, the e

Maher: NRA guests Perry, Palin and Nugent are ‘The Axis of A-holes’

RAW STORY 9 Hours Ago Maher: NRA guests Perry, Palin and Nugent are 'The Axis of A-holes' by  Arturo Garcia By Arturo GarciaSaturday, May 4, 2013 0:00 EDT The news that Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) was joining other Republican stalwarts at this weekend's National Rifle Association (NRA) convention struck  Real Time  host Bill Maher as a perfect fit on Friday. "Ted Nugent is speaking, he's speaking, Sarah Palin is speaking," Maher said after playing a clip from Perry's entrance video, which shows him shooting eggs to the tune of a Nugent song. "The Axis of Assholes." But the video, Maher said, also showed the problems of romanticizing firearms, to which MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out that most Americans do not own guns. "We'll be lucky if we survive the wildfires this week!" "Gun ownership is a minority activity," O'Donnell said. "The rate of gun ownership in this country is declining significantly. Th

Obama Administration Now Trying to Grab Guns Through Executive Order

JOEMILLER.US 1 Hour Ago Obama Administration Now Trying to Grab Guns Through Executive Order Photo Credit: gunowners.org Remember when Senators Pat Toomey, Joe Manchin and Chuck Schumer formed an unholy alliance during the recent gun battle on Capitol Hill? Remember how their amendment would have encouraged your psychiatrist to turn you in to the FBI's gun ban list? And you remember how we stopped that provision, because over 40 senators found it to be odious and a violation of the Second Amendment? Well, guess what? Barack Obama has just concluded that "he don't need no stinkin' Senate." Instead, Secretary Kathleen "ObamaCare" Sebelius – and her Department of Health and Human Services – has promulgated regulations which would, by executive fiat, waive all federal privacy laws and encourage you doctor to report you to the FBI. Understand a couple of things: First, the standard which your doctor would use to turn you in is embodied in Clinton-era ATF lan

Obama Spins Furiously On Guns

POWER LINE 8 Hours Ago Obama Spins Furiously On Guns by  John Hinderaker Barack Obama's comments about guns in Mexico today demonstrated a curious lack of self-awareness. "[M]ost of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States." So the violence perpetrated by Mexican drug cartels is our fault? That seemed to be the implication. But obviously, if there were not a single firearm in the U.S., the drug cartels would be just as well armed as they are today. But that is almost beside the point. How could anyone utter those words without thinking about Fast and Furious? Obama also said, "So we'll keep increasing the pressure on gun traffickers who bring illegal guns into Mexico. We'll keep putting these criminals where they belong: behind bars." Well, when we're not sliding them thousands of firearms on purpose, that is. "So we'll keep increasing the pressure on gun traffickers who bring illegal guns into Mexico. We&
