BREITBART.COM 4 Hours Ago Colt Firearms Threatens to Leave Connecticut over Strict Gun Laws by  Todd Huston by  Warner Todd Huston 22 Mar 2013, 4:06 PM PDT post a comment View Discussion Colt President and CEO Dennis Veilleux published an  op ed  in the  Hartford Currant asking why it makes any sense that Colt Manufacturing stay in Connecticut. Veilleux said the "economic advantage" his company has brought to Hartford for the last 175 years "is in grave danger." "What's most astounding." Veilleux wrote, "is our advantage is not being taken away--it's being given away." Veilleux notes that much of his business today is centered on the AR-15 rifle platform, in both military-only and civilian models, and that this rifle model has widespread use all across the firearms community from target shooting to hunting. But Governor Malloy is putting Colt's business at risk. "Now Gov. Dannel P. Malloy says that with or without bipartisan con

Nullification Against Gun Control

CANADAFREEPRESS.COM 47 Minutes Ago Nullification Against Gun Control Second Amendment Protection Act “Shall not be infringed.” Those words are an order to the federal government. The central government shall not infringe, in any way, against the fundamental right of keeping and bearing arms. The Second Amendment is clear. For the purpose of having a militia that is in good order so that it may protect the States against tyranny, be it foreign, or domestic, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. When breaking down the language of the Second Amendment, one realizes that the amendment applies only to the federal government. The reason? “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State.” Necessary to the security of a free State. A free Massachusetts, a free Virginia, a free Pennsylvania, a free Michigan, a free Alaska, a free California, and so forth. Free from what? Free from the tyranny of an oppressive federal

Defending Jay Leno

Friday, March 22nd  Defending Jay Leno Jay Leno is my favorite talk show host. Jay is a nice guy with a great sense of timing and I just think he’s the funniest of all the late night talk show hosts. Now, NBC is trying to push Jay Leno out…again by announcing that Jimmy Fallon will take over in 2014 and move the show to New York City! Jay Leno takes on the corporate bigwigs who’re trying to pull this off and liberal NBC is attacking the legendary comedian because he dares to take on Obama . I guess when good people get ganged up on it infuriates me. Kudos to Matt Drudge for having the courage to stand up for

High School student wears abstinence t-shirt, school makes her remove it and wear 'punishment' t-shirt

THERIGHTSCOOP.COM 37 Minutes Ago High School student wears abstinence t-shirt, school makes her remove it and wear 'punishment' t-shirt The t-shirt in question, worn by a high school student, supposedly violated some dress-code the school has banning shirts with messages of sexual innuendo on them. The shirt actually says on the front "Don't Drink & Park: Accidents Cause Kids" and then shows a parked car below it. Clearly it's a tame abstinence message but there's really no sexual innuendo on it. And then she's told to remove it and she's made to wear a shirt the school supplies especially for these instances of 'dress code violations' that says "Tomorrow I will dress for success." And she had to wear that the rest of the day. Some school administrators these days are dumb as bricks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that shirt. Watch: FOX ORLANDO  – An eighth-grader from Cocoa says she was told by school staff to cha

Will Obama Seize Americans’ Savings

WESTERN JOURNALISM 3 Hours Ago Will Obama Seize Americans' Savings? by  Kris Zane Supposedly in order to stave off an "economic apocalypse"—reminiscent of the banshee Barack Obama's recent sequestration road show—Cyprus called for a "tax"—that is, confiscation—of between six and ten percent of its citizens' bank accounts. Yesterday, they floated the idea of nationalizing—that is, confiscating—pensions. Today, the European Union is pushing to "freeze"—that is confiscate— bank accounts of the "bad" banks—forget about six and ten percent;  they're talking about forty percent ! They use terms like "tax," "freeze," or "nationalize"; but the operative word here is "confiscation." Obama would call it "paying their fair share." Although "theft" would be the word most would use. The whole fiasco matters little as far as Cyprus is concerned. We're talking about the EU wanting

Colorado Gun Sales Skyrocket Through The Roof As Unconstitutional Gun Laws Loom

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 2 Hours Ago Colorado Gun Sales Skyrocket Through The Roof As Unconstitutional Gun Laws Loom by Jake Hammer Mar 22, 2013Jake Hammer Excerpted from CNS NEWS: Pro-gun residents of Colorado were preparing for the worst on the gun control front, and on Wednesday Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) reaffirmed that by signing three major gun control measures into law. However, since the introduction of the Assault Weapons Ban legislation, the number of background checks has skyrocketed – doubling over the course of a year. From December 2011 to February 2012, gun sale background checks totaled 73,603 in Colorado. Of those, 35,468 were long rifles and 38,135 were pistols. For the same period, one year later, the total number of background checks was 147,908 – twice the amount from the three month period from one year earlier. Of those, 67,485 were long guns and 80,423 were pistols. Denver University finance professor Mac Clouse says this is simply due to supply

Associate Prof Orders Stomp On Jesus Exercise

THEBLACKSPHERE.NET 2 Hours Ago Associate Prof Orders Stomp On Jesus Exercise And Deandre Poole is not JUST an Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University, he is also a top official in the local Democratic Party. Mr. Poole instructed the students to write the name of Jesus on a piece of paper, lay it on the floor and stomp on it! One student, Ryan Rotela, a devout Morman, refused to perform the "exercise", told Poole that the assignment was insulting and offensive, and complained to the University administrators. Unfortunately, the FAU is standing by the Associate Prof., and rather than any censure of Poole, suspended Rotela. Quipped Rotela: "Anytime you stomp on something it shows that you believe that something has no value. So if you were to stomp on the word Jesus, it says that the word has no value" Noemi Marin, the university's director of the school of communication and multimedia studies, responded: "As with any academic lesson, the exercise
