WEASELZIPPERS.US 6 Hours Ago Return Of The Zombie Legislation: Dingy And Biden Meet To Discuss Resurrecting Gun Control Bill Give it up, gun control is dead. Via  Politico : Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid plans to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Joe Manchin in the next week to discuss the possibility of reviving the Senate's dormant gun legislation. Reid told reporters Tuesday afternoon that he had spoken with Biden on Monday and the two will meet in person next week. Reid also spoke with Manchin (D-W.Va.), a key architect of a failed background check amendment along with Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.). In Virginia, Another Sign of the Shifting Politics of Gun Control

NEWREPUBLIC.COM 8 Hours Ago In Virginia, Another Sign of the Shifting Politics of Gun Control by  Alec Macgillis Have you heard about the weird stuff going on in the lieutenant governor's race in Virginia? No, I'm not talking about the Republican nominee, the  African-American preacher E.W. Jackson , who has said that gay-rights groups have "done more to kill black folks whom they claim so much to love than the Ku Klux Klan, lynching and slavery and Jim Crow ever did," said that the Democratic Party has "an agenda worthy of the Antichrist," and called the Affordable Care Act "slavery-care."  NEWS BUSTERS 6 Hours Ago MSNBC Anchor Says Republicans Weren't Sent to D.C. to 'Just Hold Hearings' by  Paul Bremmer MSNBC continues to disparage the scandals that have plagued the Obama administration the last few weeks. On Sunday's  Weekends with Alex Witt , the host brought on former Democratic staffer Jimmy Williams and former RNC chairman Michael Steele to reluctantly discuss the scandals once again. Of course, rather than focus on the substance of the controversies, Witt fell back on the concern that she and many others in the liberal media have often expressed: " [D]oes this have the potential to derail the president's second-term agenda?" The president's agenda is always the victim of these scandal investigations in the minds of the press, at least when there's a (D) following the president's surname. Williams, being the Democrat that he is, brushed aside that question and riffed on another favorite left-wing talking point – Republican...
