Second Colorado Democrat faces recall over gun control

DAILYCALLER.COM 6 Hours Ago Second Colorado Democrat faces recall over gun control by  Greg Campbell Tweet Colorado state  senator Angela Giron is now the second legislator in state history to officially face a recall after the secretary of state's office certified that her opponents had submitted enough valid signatures to schedule an election. Last week, the office also certified petitions to oust  Senate President John Morse . Both Democrats were targeted for their support of Colorado's new gun control laws, which include bans on high capacity magazines and requirements for universal background checks. Those laws go into effect on Monday. One difference, though, is the level of organization displayed by the group seeking Giron's ouster. Pueblo Freedom and Rights submitted just barely more signatures than required to trigger a recall election, a thin margin considering that as many as 30 percent of such signatures are routinely invalidated for one reason or anothe...

Second Amendment Advocates Outnumber Gun Control Activists at Gun Control Rally… Again

GUNS.COM 5 Hours Ago Second Amendment Advocates Outnumber Gun Control Activists at Gun Control Rally… Again by  Jennifer Cruz At a No More Names rally in Atlanta on Monday, it seems that there were once again more supporters of gun rights present than those who are demanding greater gun control. Apparently it's become a common thing for gun control activists to be outnumbered at their own rallies, even sometimes being outnumbered by the media present to cover the event, as was the case Monday in Atlanta. However, that supposed list has come under a bit of scrutiny after it was noticed last week that one of the names on that list was the name of  one of the Boston Marathon bomber s, which the group later apologized for. Apparently the list is taken from  Slate.com  and is comprised of approximately one in 12 being crime susp...

Bloomberg 'Uses City Resources to Support Anti-Gun Group'

NEWS MAX 4 Hours Ago Bloomberg 'Uses City Resources to Support Anti-Gun Group' by  Melanie Batley New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been diverting city resources toward initiatives promoted by the national gun-control group he helped form, according to a new report. The New York Post reported  Tuesday that a city employee was sent to Nevada to lobby on behalf of Mayors Against Illegal Guns as legislators there were considering a bill requiring background checks on all commercial gun sales. "It doesn't seem kosher to me," Gene Russianoff of the New York Public Interest Research Group, told the Post. "It's hard to see how gun control in Nevada makes the city safer in New York." An aide to Bloomberg argued that city governments often lobby state and national leaders on issues related to a city's well-being, from mass transit to healthcare. However, critics, including Russianoff, say Nevada is not a jurisdiction that impacts the Big Apple. M...
