A Few Things You Should Know

The Patriot Post

Fellow Patriots,

As you have noticed, we send regular emails at the end of the year requesting your support for our 2011 Year-End Campaign. As with any donor-supported organization, we must ask for funding in order to continue providing The Patriot Post to you and hundreds of thousands of other Patriots every week. Fundraising is tough, but it's a necessary part of what we do.

As our publisher Mark Alexander wrote to you last week, if you aren't able to support us, please don't feel any obligation to do so. We know this is a difficult economic time for so many. If you are a student, in the military or on the mission field, or if you are just having a hard time making ends meet, please allow us to provide The Patriot Post as a service to you.

But that leads to the question: "Well, if I can't give, then why do you continue sending me appeals?" The honest answer is that we send requests to all of our readers, and we have no way of determining what your ability to support is, based on an email address. It's really as simple as that.

You may have noticed that there is no advertising on The Patriot Post's website. This is a very cognizant decision on our part -- we want a clean site, free of annoying advertising content and pop-ups, so that we can be focused on providing you with the best in Conservative news, policy and opinion. We also want to avoid any "editorial obligations" that go along with advertising revenues.

However, by not accepting revenue from advertising, our team of writers and editors (many of whom have young families) are much more dependent on YOU for our operations budget.

So far we have raised nearly 28 percent of the funds toward our 2011 Year-End Campaign goal. We are approximately 17 percent behind last year's campaign, and must still raise $260,841 to meet our minimum budget requirements.

If you are able and have not already done so, please take a moment to support The Patriot Post today with a secure online donation -- however large or small. If you prefer to support us by mail, please use our printable donor form, or print the donor guide below.

With many thanks for your invaluable support,

Christy Chesterton
Director of Advancement
