Wheelchair Bound US Army Vet Draws Gun on Suspected Home Invader, Scares Him Off
A 53 year old US Army vet, who is confined to a wheelchair, did not hesitate when he heard someone kick in his door while he was in bed on Wednesday.
The vet reached into his nightstand and grabbed his pistol.
“I pointed the gun at him and told him he better get the hell out, and he flew out like a bat,” he said. “He’s lucky I didn’t kill him.”
“I wasn’t going to wait to see if he had [a gun],” he said. “All I know is he was in my house. Things are starting to get out of hand, and if people don’t start standing up for themselves and putting crooks in the ground, the law is just going to slap them on the wrist and let them go.”
Authorities have one possible suspect who have they have identified from evidence left at the scene, but he has not yet been found.
Once again, another self defense story that probably won’t make it into the statistics or reports on such things because no shots were fired and no one was hurt.
