What has happened in America where the satisfaction level of our fellow citizens is largely divided based on party lines? According to a Gallup poll released this week, 47% of Democrats say they are satisfied with the direction of the country, while only 9% of Republicans say the same. Overall, just 27% of Americans are satisfied with the direction of the country, which amazingly is an increase from December and January. The disparity between Democrats and Republicans is astounding. What accounts for this difference? Are Democrats living in a fantasy land versus Republicans living in the real world where 12 million Americans are unemployed? Are Democrats projecting their happiness based on what they think Obama is going to do for them, versus Republicans who see Obama as destroying the country and the values they cherish? Are Republicans more likely to be the producers in society, and are therefore more in tune with the realities of our economic situation? We need a leader who can lead America, not just a party or an ideology. Beating Obamacare Betsy McCaughey, Lt. Governor of New York and author of the new book, "Beating Obamacare" and Senator John Barrasso joined Sean on the show to discuss the hidden details of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. McCaughey addressed many of the privacy issues with the act and explained that background checks now can include electronic medical records. Imagine how citizens will be affected if their medical background is exposed! Sean pointed out that Virginia has made several moves to give exemptions to Obamacare - especially for employers who are cutting back employee hours so that they are not subjected to the penalties of this bill. Betsy discussed the importance of choosing your specialists and general doctor now, because you will not have one at your 65th birthday, because no one will be accepting medicare, unless already a patient. Betsy also explained that care for a family of four will exceed $20,000 for just basic coverage. Both she and Dr. Barrasso pointed out that this is not the way the bill was sold to the American people and sadly many Americans are not doing the legwork to learn more about the bill and what it really outlines. Outrageous Statement of the Day Colorado Democrat state Representative Joe Salazar has apologized for his recent comments about rape, which he claims were taken out of context. The comments that have him in hot water were made while he was discussing a gun bill, which involves guns on college campuses. He essentially says that women who fear being raped can't be trusted with guns. Salazar said, "It's why we have call boxes, it's why we have safe zones, it's why we have the whistles. Because you just don't know who you're gonna be shooting at. And you don't know if you feel like you're gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone's been following you around or if you feel like you're in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop ... pop a round at somebody." Should we now add Salazar, a Democrat, to the imaginary War on Women concocted by liberals in the Democrat Party? Where are the Democrats calling for Salazar to get out of politics, similar to what happened when Todd Akin made his stupid comment about rape during the 2012 election cycle? Today's "Hot Topic" On The Hannity Forums: Was Sequestration the President's Idea or Not? - TCUFan I'm curious. I really want to know if that idea came from him or it didn't. The president spent what precious little of his political capital remained (that's what you get for running a negative campaign) on a piddling tax hike that netted $85B. And guess what, sir. The money's already gone. You spent it on hurricane relief for New Jersey. >> TV Tonight (Hannity FoxNews at 9pm ET): We're putting a special 'Hannity' twist on President Obama's outrageously irresponsible remarks on the disastrous impact of the automatic budget cuts. |
