Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, author of "A Battle for the Soul of Islam - An American Muslim Patriot's Fight to Save His Faith," recently returned from a visit to the Middle East and shared some shocking news and confirmation of the hatred of Moursi and the Muslim Brotherhood for America and Israel with Sean. He was there in his capacity as a commissioner on the U.S. commission on International Religious Freedom, while he cannot speak to official commission conclusions about the trip which is done formally by the commission, he can certainly discuss his own observations in meeting with leadership and opposition activists. "The Muslim Brotherhood has been presented as being the most organized political group in Egypt but they are totally inept at running government," Jasser told Sean. "The Brotherhood seemed to have a deaf ear to all that relates to liberty, freedom and western interests." Jasser briefly discussed the state of Egypt's econ omy as well. "Egypt is clearly suffering from major reductions in tourism and increased unemployment and GDP which is forcing outreach to actors like Iran." During a Facebook town hall hosted by Parents Magazine, Biden recommended that people buy a double barrel shotgun if they wanted to defend themselves. He said that he told his wife Jill, "If there's ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here--walk out, put that double barrel shot gun and fire two blasts outside the house -- I promise you whoever is coming in ... You don't need an AR-15, it's harder to aim, it's harder to use and in fact you don't need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun. Buy a shotgun." Biden's obsession with his shotguns goes back even further to the 2008 presidential race when he assured gun owners, "I guarantee ya, Barack Obama ain't takin' my shotgun, so don't buy that malarky. . . I got two, and if he [Obama] tries to fool with my Beretta, he's got a problem!" Ok, so we get it. The Vice President likes his shotguns and recommends that others use the same. But who is Joe Biden or any politician to mandate what types of guns we should and shouldn't be using in order to protect our lives and our property? Just because the White House has approved of shotguns doesn't mean that we have to accept that as the only means of reasonable protection. That decision should be up to us and is protected by our Second Amendment. |

| Boehner Responds on Sequestration Republican House Speaker John Boehner has responded to President Obama's apocalyptic speech on sequestration yesterday. In the Wall Street Journal, Boehner writes the following: "Having first proposed and demanded the sequester, it would make sense that the president lead the effort to replace it. Unfortunately, he has put forth no detailed plan that can pass Congress, and the Senate - controlled by his Democratic allies - hasn't even voted on a solution, let alone passed one. By contrast, House Republicans have twice passed plans to replace the sequester with common-sense cuts and reforms that protect national security."
