It looks like Chuck Hagel has 55 Democrat Senators supporting him and the battle is going on in Washington as I write this. This is going to be really interesting and Republicans need to take a stand here. I have outlined repeatedly that Chuck Hagel is not prepared to be the Secretary of State and, if Republicans hold the line, President Obama’s nomination will be in trouble. This is the man that couldn’t even answer whether the troop surge worked in Afghanistan or not. This is embarrassing. Hagel has been wrong on terrorism and he’s been wrong on jihad. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that we won’t have a Secretary of Defense by noon today but I say it’s better to have the right Secretary of Defense than the wrong one. I’m watching this one closely but I’m hopeful the Republicans will stand up for what is right. Outrageous Statement of the Day CNN took Marco Rubio's “Watergate” non-scandal to a new level yesterday when Wolf Blitzer asked the following: "So can a drink of water make or break a political career? A U.S. Senator, possible presidential candidate. We're going to find out, whether he likes it or not." CNN has since come out and said that Blitzer's tease was a “joke.” That's for you to decide whether they were joking or not but CNN did manage to play the clip yesterday 34 times, 20 of which happened during Wolf Blitzer's discussion. While I myself played the clip on Hannity, the discussion was based on the media's obsession of the clip and not the sip's negative effect on Rubio's career. If a sip of water could truly stand the chance to end the career of a bright, young politician, then how are people like Joe Biden and Barack Obama in office? It seems that every other day we have some sort of outrageous remark from the Vice President on everything from Indian accents at 7-Elevens to questioning the parents of a former Navy SEAL killed in the terrorist attack in Benghazi as to the size of their deceased son's “cue balls.” & nbsp;Only one person has even asked Barack Obama about this, let alone pontificated that it could spell the end of his political career. This will forever be used by the mainstream media when talking about Marco Rubio, and this is because of one thing: fear. They know that they can't compete with his ideas so they will hang on to this water bottle because, frankly, that's all they've got. |
Nanny State Alert Nanny Bloomberg is at it again. Apparently banning large sugary drinks and salty foods wasn't enough to curb his appetite for more government intrusion into your life. His next target is styrofoam. Mayor Bloomberg now wants to ban styrofoam food packaging in New York City. At what cost for businesses or manufacturers? Who cares! Michael Bloomberg doesn't like it. That settles it. This is what happens when we allow liberal policies to start chipping away at our freedom. You thought that he would stop with the sugary drinks ban, didn't you? But no. They know they can get away with that, so they come back for more. It's not the products that they are banning, it is the fact that they feel you are willing to tolerate it. At what point do you push back and say that enough is enough? Today's "Hot Topic" From The Hannity Forums Senate 2014 Early Look from Sabato - Posted by Safiel Sabato has put out his early ratings for 2014. that I KNOW, is that Republicans have messed themselves up the last two Senate election cycles, and frankly, I see some potential screw ups developing for 2014. Bottom line, Republicans will NOT win control of the Senate in 2014, but the fact that 2014 is a six year itch election works strongly in their favor. Republicans greatest danger will be the self-inflicted wounds. >>TV Tonight (9pm ET on Fox News) Bombshell developments reveal that the Senate Democrats may not have enough votes to block a GOP filibuster of Chuck Hagel. |
