CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was fatally shot in a van “riddled with bullets” on Lake Shore Drive, near the Stevenson Expy. on Friday morning.
Another female passenger in the van was not injured, state police said.
Authorities closed the southbound lanes near the expressway while they investigated. The ramp to the Stevenson was also closed.
The van was stopped on the ramp that leads from southbound Lake Shore Drive to the Stevenson Expy, next to McCormick Place.
The woman, who was declared dead on the scene, was found in a van that police said was “riddled with bullets.”
