Associate Prof Orders Stomp On Jesus Exercise

And Deandre Poole is not JUST an Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University, he is also a top official in the local Democratic Party.

Mr. Poole instructed the students to write the name of Jesus on a piece of paper, lay it on the floor and stomp on it!

One student, Ryan Rotela, a devout Morman, refused to perform the "exercise", told Poole that the assignment was insulting and offensive, and complained to the University administrators. Unfortunately, the FAU is standing by the Associate Prof., and rather than any censure of Poole, suspended Rotela.

Quipped Rotela:

"Anytime you stomp on something it shows that you believe that something has no value. So if you were to stomp on the word Jesus, it says that the word has no value"

Noemi Marin, the university's director of the school of communication and multimedia studies, responded:

"As with any academic lesson, the exercise was meant to encourage students to view issues from many perspectives, in direct relation with the course objectives"

Paul Kengor, the executive director of the Center for Vision and Values at Grove City College, told Fox News he's not surprised by the classroom lesson.

"These are the new secular disciples of 'diversity' and 'tolerance' – empty buzzwords that make liberals and progressives feel good while they often refuse to tolerate and sometimes even assault traditional Christian and conservative beliefs"

The university did not explain why students were only instructed to write the name of Jesus – and not the name of Mohammed or another religious figure.

Dr. Francis Schaeffer was one of the first Christian thinkers to use the term "Post-Christian World" in relation to America. He would be aggrieved to view America's transformation into a Hostile-to-Christianity World–something the education elite have been working toward for a century.

President Wilson and John Dewey pushed for social and educational reform, and each successive generation of mainstream, government schools educators have nudged the nation's youth ever closer to that Progressive/Socialist/Anti-Christian faith worldview.

Associate Professor Poole may have given a ridiculous assignment in one classroom, in one small university…but it's just one more effort in Wilson and Dewey"s social revolution. One more heave-ho to God and the traditional faith espoused by millions of great Americans.

How about we reverse the tide and give Poole and like-minded educators a push-back! Let's remind them that:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Perhaps Prof Poole and Florida Atlantic University need to be reminded that America's very independence was founded upon God and His principles, without which such foolish educators would not have the freedom to assign this blasphemous exercise.
