The Supreme Court is still pondering the validity of The Defense of Marriage Act and I’m simply curious, what does this all mean for those who have certain religious belief systems? It seems to me that we are headed on a collision course toward the time when the State will force Americans to abandon their religious views altogether. Everybody who is advocating for same-sex marriage seems to be clamoring for tolerance but there will not be any tolerance for those with religious views, especially under the Obama Administration. As we negotiate through this, I think we’ll see a lot of confusion. If you haven’t had a chance, check out the audio from today’s Supreme Court hearings. Obama's America There's a new CBS poll which shows that eight out of every ten Americans are unhappy with Washington, with nearly 30% of those people going so far as to describe themselves as “angry.” That number has risen dramatically since the re-election of Barack Obama and coincides with a big drop in Obama's approval rating. Can you blame them? While the Obama's jet around the country, taking one vacation a month, millions of Americans are still suffering and there is little hope in sight! Political Correctness: Ban the Easter Bunny We have an elementary school in Alabama that has apparently banned the word “Easter.” The school is going to host an egg hunt, but you can't call the eggs “Easter eggs.” Why? For the sake of religious diversity. Seriously! Apparently just mentioning the word “Easter” is somehow offensive to other religions, and therefore should not be allowed in our schools. Christians and Christianity has become a punching bag for liberals, and their political correctness is affecting even our youngest Americans. If you don’t believe it’s getting bad, read this! Today's "Hot Topic" From the Hannity Forums: Gay Marriage - The Ultimate Example Of Social Con Hypocrisy - Posted by Gratefuldruid So there are a dozen threads on gay marriage today, but my angle is a little different. Some of you have a problem with gay marriage - I get that but for those of you that call yourselves conservative, how can you possibly rationalize wanting a government sponsored solution to your personal issue? If you believe in Constitutional government, limited government and liberty - how can you possibly justify the government intruding into the rights of 2 people getting married it they want to?? >>TV Tonight (9pm ET on Fox News) Marriage on Trial? Sean has the latest on the Supreme Court hearings. |
