Cutting Spending WILL Work
Last night on Hannity, I had a discussion with Democratic strategist Joe Trippi who seemed to imply that Europe's economic blight was the result of austerity measures put in place by some countries to help rein in debts. I'd like to point my buddy Joe and other liberals to a recent report put together by Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee. In the report they examined data from respected economists on the impact of spending cuts on economies similar to ours in the United States. Here was their conclusion, as reported by the National Review.

North Korea's Provocation
The provocation from North Korea continues today as it moves missiles to its East Coast. This comes just one day after the state-run media in North Korea reported that the country had final approval for a nuclear attack, which it described as "merciless." The White House National Security Council responded by labeling the threats "unhelpful" and "unconstructive." Meanwhile, what did our president have to say about this nuclear declaration? Well...nothing. Last night he was at a high-priced fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in San Francisco, pushing for gun control and yearning for Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker once again. Those issues won't much matter if North Korea's bellicose dictator Kim Jong Un decides to pull the trigger. The continued display of weakness and Obama's unwillingness to respond in some fashion when we are provoked only emboldens our enemies. Obviously we do not want to go to war, but consider the way nations ha ve already "tested" us, consider our lack of any response, and imagine how that looks to countries like Iran. Perhaps Obama could stand to revisit Reagan's message of "peace through strength." For more click here.
Paul Ryan Discusses His Budget Plan
Congressman Paul Ryan joined Sean on the NewsMaker Hotline to discuss his budget and the recently passed proposal from the Senate. Ryan explained that with the massive amount of people on the government dole and more people than ever before in our history on food stamps, it's obvious that we need to make more strides to provide economic policy that really works. Sean and Ryan discussed states like North Dakota, that have a booming economy and low unemployment because Harold Hamm is developing natural resources and putting people back to work. He is drilling for oil and natural gas on our soil, with our people and improving the local economy there. Ryan also explained that we need to reverse, repeal or delay much of the imposed ObamaCare legislation that has been shoved down the American people's throats. Sean told Ryan that a big part of why people are so disenchanted with the Republican party is the party's inability to maintain a mantra and portray that not ju st in words but in actions. Ryan agrees to take this feedback to his party and promised to keep up the good fight against propaganda and wasteful spending.

Today's "Hot Topic" On The Hannity Forums:
New York Fast Food Worker Strike - jkm

This one should still be on www.msn.com. Fast food workers in NYC are striking, one saying $7.25 minimum wage won't support her extended family of 7, another saying he must rely on his aunt for stuff like meals.

Superbowl anti-gun ad, hope it backfires on them

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 11 Hours Ago Bloomberg to Air Gun Control Ad During Superbowl Feb 2, 2013Toro520 Via The Associated Press: NEW YORK (Associated Press) – A gun control group founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is airing a Super Bowl advertisement calling for background checks. The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
