Not a day goes by that we don't learn some sort of new, negative impact of ObamaCare. After being sold as one of the pillars of ObamaCare's reform, the administration acknowledged just this week that it will be unable to provide affordable healthcare plans to small businesses on time. That, folks, is a big deal. When ObamaCare officially goes into effect, there will be no small business insurance marketplace where you can go and shop for premiums as promised. There will be only one plan. That's it! This is a big-time failure on the part of the Obama administration. So what has been the Obama administration's solution? A PR campaign to sell ObamaCare to the American people! Since before the passage of ObamaCare, support has been in the negative. That remains the case to this day, and the number of people who support government spending on healthcare has plummeted. So they've ginned up a massive marketing campaign, not to just enroll people in the plan but to change how Americans think about healthcare in this country. The Left's Assault On Ammunition Leftists have found a new way to limit your second amendment rights by law abiding gun owners. Liberals are no longer simply setting their sights on taking away your guns. Now they're pushing through unprecedented restrictions on your ammunition. In Connecticut, lawmakers are expected to vote tomorrow on a bill that requires several things. Magazines that carry more than 10 bullets must be registered, the law would also create "ammunition eligibility certificate," which means a background checks would be needed just to purchase ammo. While the good those guns would be without ammo, they would also "implement a dangerous weapon offender's registry." A similar proposal is being floated in California by a democrat that wants to require that ammo be sold only to licensed dealers and would force sellers to notify police if a specific amount of bullets was sold under a certain amount of days. While lawmakers do not have the Constitutional authority to take awa y your guns, there is no clear Constitutional protection in their mind over ammunition. Outrageous Statement of the Day: Axelrod If you missed Hannity last night, I highlighted an outrageous quote by none other than former Obama advisor David Axelrod. Axelrod, speaking on the network extension on the Obama press office (MSNBC), basically said that the NRA is trading their jobs for the lives on young Americans. "I come from the city of Chicago. We know we have had a violence problem there. A lot of it has to do with straw buyers arming street gangs. There is no doubt and every law enforcement person will tell you that stronger trafficking laws combined with universal background checks would make a real difference. People are afraid of the NRA and they're trading their jobs for young lives in places like Chicago. And it is a terrible blight. You know, hopefully people will step up and do the right thing. It is extraordinary to have all the country on one side and the Congress on the other." That statement was made only after Axelrod blamed the NRA for the soaring crime in Chicago. Some edu cation for Mr. Axelrod: The NRA is the single largest group in America that teaches gun safety. I don't see many liberal groups (if any) teaching law-abiding Americans about gun safety. I also don't see criminals or gang members too concerned about gun laws. That's not the fault of the NRA. Watch Axelrod's statement here.
