‘Duck Dynasty’ star says family will quit show if God and guns are removed

'Duck Dynasty' star says family will quit show if God and guns are removed

The stars of "Duck Dynasty" are certainly clinging to their guns and their religion, and they aren't going to back down about it!

According to the Facebook page of radio station 93.1 The Wolf, host TV network A&E asked Phil Robertson if they could remove the religious- and firearm-related content from the show — but Robertson answered 'no.'

"If we can't pray to God on the show, we will not do the show," he reportedly said. "God and guns are a part of our everyday lives to remove either of them from the show is unacceptable."

"If we can't pray to God on the show, we will not do the show"

People had apparently complained to the TV network about the "Duck Dynasty" including footage of the family praying and using guns, and the detractors had asked for the show to be removed from the air.

The popular show, which just completed its third season, has been granted a fourth season with A&E — under Robertson's terms, according to The Wolf.

Robertson also received press recently for saying the family company, Duck Commander, was been built without government assistance.

Count on the scrappy Robertson family to keep fighting for the American way of life!

The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
