Egypt is a total meltdown and President Obama is taking the side of the Muslim Brotherhood. This is unbelievable! Today we heard more about the protestors who’re giving President Morsi an ultimatum to “meet the people’s demands” and now Egyptian police are publicly refusing to protect Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Of those demands, the most damning for Morsi is the demand that he resign from office. I warned about this a year ago when the Muslim Brotherhood came to power and I’ve been talking about this all year. I told you that it was a bad idea to give the Morsi government tanks and guns and money and Obama’s push to prop up Morsi has not been good for the Middle East of America. This should be a moment of truth for America. Egypt has traditionally been viewed as the most important nation in the Middle East in terms of foreign relations and President Obama’s promise of a “new beginning” is unfolding. This is s ome new beginning with everything spinning out of control. For more on what's happening in Egypt, click here. All American Hearts I had a chance to talk with Joe Baddick who lost his son Sgt. Andrew Baddick in Iraq on September 29th, 2003. If you haven’t had the chance to hear Andrew’s story, the brave 26 year old had made the ultimate sacrifice while trying to rescue army personnel who had crashed their vehicle into a canal near the Abu Ghraib Prison in Iraq. Joe Baddick wrote about his son’s life and military career in his first book, " My Hero, My Son", and after many letters and words of encouragement, Joe has returned to write his second book, All American Hearts, which is a detailed and moving tribute to those who’ve sacrificed greatly in defense of our freedom. My heart and prayers go out to all those who’ve worn the uniform but especially to those who wear the scars of war on their bodies and in their hearts. Freedom is definitely not free and folks like Joe Baddick do this country a great service by reminding us of that. For more on, All American Hearts and to listen to the interview I had with Joe, click here. |
The Zimmerman Trial: The Latest Today, I’ve been watching the Zimmerman trial and I have to believe the measure of reasonable doubt has been etched in the minds of each juror. Now, never underestimate the ability of a juror to get something wrong but the evidence has been pretty well spelled out that George Zimmerman was clearly justifiable in his use of deadly force. I honestly believe a tragic misunderstanding took place in this case but I believe the left has politicized this to an extent never seen before. It’s clear the left has tried to divide this nation along race lines and today’s performance by the prosecutor shows that hard truth. The left has tried to politicize the judiciary and the legal process but ultimately I believe the evidence is leaning toward what I’ve been saying all along, that this was simply a tragic misunderstanding.
