St. Louis Man Beaten Bloody at Bus Stop Is Latest 'Knock Out' Game Victim

Zack Finkelstein was waiting at a St. Louis bus stop on Thursday when a black man beat him in an apparent 'knock out' game attack. Zack was going to have lunch with his grandmother. He never made it.

There have been dozens of "knock out" game attacks in St. Louis the last two years. An elderly Vietnamese man from St. Louis was murdered in a "knock out" attack in 2011.KMOV reported:

Police are searching for a suspect after a man was beaten while walking to a bus stop Thursday afternoon.

21-year-old Zack Finkelstein was walking to a bus stop so he could meet his grandmother for lunch when someone beat him. The incident occured on Hord Avenue. His brother David, saw him immediately after the incident.

"When I saw him at first, I just thought I need to get him better," David Finkelstein said. "If he needs to go to the hospital, I need to know he's alright."

David said Zack was randomly targeted after someone said "hi" to him while he was walking to the bus stop.

St. Louis County Police describe the suspect as an African American man in his 20s or 30s, six foot three inches tall, weighing 280 pounds and has a scruffy beard.

"I hope they find the guy," David Finkelstein said. "He's walking somewhere here on the streets. He ran off and police said the likelihood of finding him was low."

Don't expect this senseless beating to make any national headlines this week.

Superbowl anti-gun ad, hope it backfires on them

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 11 Hours Ago Bloomberg to Air Gun Control Ad During Superbowl Feb 2, 2013Toro520 Via The Associated Press: NEW YORK (Associated Press) – A gun control group founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is airing a Super Bowl advertisement calling for background checks. The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
