We Hold the Line -- Together

The Patriot Post: Voice of Essential Liberty

Fellow Patriot,

Thank you for supporting Liberty in so many ways.

Many grassroots Patriots across the nation are struggling to make ends meet. On top of economic challenges to family budgets, these have been difficult years for morale as well, given the relentless assault on Liberty from the left, and not much firm and principled resistance from Beltway politicos on the right.

Though we do not ask financial support from Patriots in uniform, or students and others with limited financial capabilities, we receive many notes of apology from those who can't support us financially. That is very humbling. If you are among them, please know that we are proud to count you among the ranks of American Patriots, and we're honored to stand with you in steadfast defense of Liberty. Your fortitude and perseverance is your ticket into these historic ranks -- not your financial capabilities.

Do not be discouraged. Tyranny is the domain of men, but Liberty is eternally endowed by our Creator.

For the last two years, we have not increased our budget, despite the critical need to advance the timeless message of Liberty now more than ever. We raise half our mission and operations revenue in the first half of the year, marked by the end of our 2013 Independence Day Campaign. It appears that campaign is within one percentage point of a checkmark in the victory column.

On behalf of our staff and National Advisory Committee, thank you for keeping the flame of Liberty burning bright, and for your support for our mission to do the same.

Pro Deo et Constitutione — Libertas aut Mors
Semper Vigilo, Fortis, Paratus et Fidelis

Superbowl anti-gun ad, hope it backfires on them

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 11 Hours Ago Bloomberg to Air Gun Control Ad During Superbowl Feb 2, 2013Toro520 Via The Associated Press: NEW YORK (Associated Press) – A gun control group founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is airing a Super Bowl advertisement calling for background checks. The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
