Palin to Obama: 'We Haven't Forgotten' You Mocked Special Olympics

One might say President Barack Obama set the tone for his administration on "The Tonight Show" in March 2009 when he "joked" that the 129 he had rolled in the White House bowling alley was "like the Special Olympics, or something."

Former Alaska Gov. and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has not forgotten the president's notion of repartee.

We haven't forgotten Obama's mocking of the Special Olympics a few years ago on Leno's show. And now we see how... http://t.co/MQhqmLVBd2

— Sarah Palin (@SarahPalinUSA) August 2, 2013

At the time, Palin, along with most of the country, was "shocked" to hear about Obama's flippant and heartless comments.

"This was a degrading remark about our world's most precious and unique people coming from the most powerful position in the world," she said then. "I hope President Obama's comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community."

But the president's attempts at one-liners, much like his attempts at stimulating the economy, lowering the unemployment rate, and fixing the healthcare system, have been abysmal and have produced unintended consequences.

And so with Obama set for another "Tonight Show" cameo next week, Palin took to social media Friday to remind everyone how special needs children have been hurt not only by his previous words, but also now by his crowning achievement: Obamacare.

On both her Facebook and twitter pages, Palin called attention to an article that examines how and why a "technical change" in Obamacare will "add massive costs" and will "make it more difficult for parents of special-needs children to pay for tuition at special schools and to purchase medical equipment."

In her Facebook post, Palin wrote:

We haven't forgotten Obama's mocking of the Special Olympics a few years ago on Leno's show. And now we see how his signature legislation hurts parents of special needs children. I guess it's easier to mock our kids than respect them and level the playing field for their productive lives, eh, Mr. President?
