Twitter is a great place for Democrats to wish other people's children a horrible death Via @dailycaller

The other day it was that seething nutball at the University of Kansas. Now it's one of his fellow travellers on the West Coast.

Earlier today, Ted Cruz's senior communications advisor Amanda Carpenter tweeted the following:

GOP beat gun control, changed Obama's mind on Syria, is holding the line on amnesty. We can defund Obamacare, too!

— Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) September 20, 2013

After reading this, Allan Brauer, the Communications Chair of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County, felt compelled to respond thusly:

@amandacarpenter May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases.

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

Now that's what I call effective communications.

Brauer followed up in similar fashion:

Busy blocking the tapeworms that have slithered out of hellspawn@amandacarpenter's asshole. How's your day so far?

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

I'm being attacked on Twitter for wishing one of Ted Cruz's pubic lice to experience the pain her boss is inflicting on Americans.

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

Yes, your party takes bread from the mouths of starving children and medicine from the sick, and I'm the problem. Got it.

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

And then the entire universe of hateful, child-starving, health-care deniers determines that I'm what's wrong with America.

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

Have a great day everyone!

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

About a half-hour and an unknown number of Xanax later, Brauer had a change of heart. Sort of:

Hi @amandacarpenter I am truly sorry for my tweet. I was very upset and lashed out. Your kids are not fair game either. My apologies.

— allanbrauer (@allanbrauer) September 20, 2013

"Either"?

Of course, this "apology" is akin to fecal matter from a hooved animal of your choice:

@allanbrauer @amandacarpenter Even your "apology" is dishonest. She's not hurting anyone's children. She's not wishing death on them.

— Jim Treacher (@jtLOL) September 20, 2013

"I'm sorry I descended to your level," is what he's saying. Which wouldn't be an apology even if it were true, which it's not. He'd have to stand on his tippy-toes and crane his neck to even catch the slightest glimpse of her level.

How about this, Dems: Why not give it a rest with telling people who disagree with you that their children should die? Just because you're so eager to choose to kill your own — hello in there, Dr. Gosnell! — doesn't mean the rest of us are so keen on it.

Thanks in advance, guys.

As usual, Burge sums it up:

Punchline: he's a "communications pro" with a website is named "It Matters How You Say It!" https://t.co/yjjuKVW1Vr

Superbowl anti-gun ad, hope it backfires on them

PAT DOLLARD YOUNG AMERICANS 11 Hours Ago Bloomberg to Air Gun Control Ad During Superbowl Feb 2, 2013Toro520 Via The Associated Press: NEW YORK (Associated Press) – A gun control group founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is airing a Super Bowl advertisement calling for background checks. The 30-second spot by Mayors Against Illegal Guns will air in the Washington area during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales. A Bloomsberg spokesman would say only that the ad cost in the six-figure range....
