FOUNDER'S QUOTE DAILY

"It is a very great mistake to imagine that the object of loyalty is the authority and interest of one individual man, however dignified by the applause or enriched by the success of popular actions." --Samuel Adams, Loyalty and Sedition, essay in The Advertiser, 1748

TODAY'S 'TOP TEN' FROM RIGHT HOOK

BO: 'We Leave Nobody Behind'

Commemorating the one year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy Tuesday, Barack Obama issued a statement, saying, "Over the past year, my Administration has fought for these [hard hit] communities throughout the response, and the federal government will remain by their side as our fellow citizens rebuild." He added, "That's who we are as Americans -- we take care of our own. We leave nobody behind." (Unless you're an ambassador under a terrorist attack in Benghazi just before a pivotal election...)

Obama's Military Purge

The list of senior military commanders fired by Obama continues to grow, including nine more this year. Active duty senior commanders are keeping their heads down. Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely notes, "Obama will not purge a civilian or political appointee because they have bought into Obama's ideology. The White House protects their own. That's why they stalled on the investigation into Fast and Furious, Benghazi and ObamaCare. He's intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged."

'What's That Smell?'

Tuesday's preparedness brief from FEMA arrived with the subject line, "What's That Smell?" It headlined a section called, "Do You Smell Something?" The alert then notes, "When power outages occur after severe weather such as hurricanes or tornadoes, using alternative sources of power can cause carbon monoxide (CO) to build up in your home and poison your family. CO is a colorless, odorless gas created by burning fuel when using portable generators, gas ranges, burning wood or by running your car." So we suppose the answer to their question is, "I smell nothing!"

Pedophile Postage Stamp

The USPS is preparing a stamp in "honor" of Harvey Milk, a homosexual activist whose greatest achievement was being elected a San Francisco city commissioner. Milk had a history of preying on young runaways and drug addicts. At age 33, Milk was murdered by fellow Democrat Dan White over a dispute unrelated to gender orientation. While most acknowledged pedophiles do prison time, California rewarded Milk with his own state holiday. Now the Obama administration is featuring him on a commemorative stamp as if he is some sort of martyr.

O'Care 'Smoking Gun'

"If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan." Barack Obama knew that you wouldn't be able to keep your health plan. And he's known about it for years. NBC reports, "Buried in Obamacare regulations from July 2010 is an estimate that because of normal turnover in the individual insurance market, '40 to 67 percent' of customers will not be able to keep their policy. And because many policies will have been changed since the key date, 'the percentage of individual market policies losing grandfather status in a given year exceeds the 40 to 67 percent range.' That means the administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them." One anonymous official estimates an 80% turnover. This isn't entirely surprising considering BO's ultimate goal is single-payer, universal health care. But don't expect his constituency to see through the rhetoric.

19 Obama Lies

"Lower your premium by $2,500"? Nope. Here are 19 times that Barack Obama promised lower health insurance premiums. He lied.

'Old Girl' Network

Toni Townes-Whitley is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which was awarded the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Healthcare.gov fiasco. Turns out that Toni is a classmate of Michelle Obama (Princeton '85) and they share membership in the Association of Black Princeton Alumni, which has fewer than 200 members for the entire decade, but plenty of Obama "friends." For example, John Rogers was Obama's Presidential Inaugural Committee Co-Chair.

Where Are the Hurricanes?

"The 2013 Atlantic hurricane season looks set to go down as a big washout, marking the first time in 45 years that the strongest storm to form was just a minor Category 1 hurricane," Reuters reports. Global warming, of course, is supposed to make hurricane season far more catastrophic, not quieter. And Al Gore just said that denying global warming is "nuts. It really is nuts. And it is hard to just say it is nuts, but it is nuts." If pursuing the truth and following the evidence is nuts, we're certifiable.

Perfecting a Sense of Surprise

Regarding the NSA allegedly eavesdropping on foreign leaders, Peggy Noonan says, "Mr. Obama has gone from seeming like someone who doesn't quite know what's going on in his government to someone who doesn't really want to. He has perfected a sense of surprise. He's always finding out at just the moment you are, and feeling your indignation."

Healthcare.gov a Grad Course

As we recently reported, according to one expert familiar with HealthCare.gov, the site's source contains approximately 500 million lines of code. To give you an idea of just how complex the O'Care exchange is, a university will be using the website as a grad course study. "The University of Texas at Austin's spring 2014 course offerings include a graduate course on navigating Obamacare exchange enrollment," reports The Daily Caller. "The university's LBJ School of Public Affairs will give aspiring PhD students academic credit for examining the Obamacare enrollment process." This may just be the most burdensome course ever introduced into higher education.

Senators now have two days to read and digest it before a Wednesday vote. Sen.
