Bombshell: LESS Than 50,000 Have Enrolled in Obamacare
The Wall-Street Journal has reported that FEWER than 50,000 people have even enrolled in Obamacare. This means that Obamacare doesn't even have enough people enrolling to stay solvent — it will likely crash under its own weight.
This is a total defeat for Obamacare and Obama. The president spent years making this his signature piece of legislation, and now it has become obvious that people aren't interested in it, the wrong people are signing up, and few of even those people have enrolled.
Democrats in the senate are begging for a delay now to save their reelection chances. Too bad. They had that opportunity a month ago, and their response was to call us "hostage takers" and "terrorists". Let Obamacare crash and burn.
Here's what the WSJ has reported:
Initial reports suggest that fewer than 50,000 people successfully navigated the troubled federal health-care website to enroll in private health insurance plans as of last week, two people familiar with the matter said Monday.
The early tally falls far short of internal goals set by President Barack Obama's administration in the months leading up to the opening of the HealthCare.gov site Oct. 1, and the low number has worried health insurers that are counting on higher turnout.
Technology problems and design flaws have blocked many users from completing insurance applications or creating accounts to use the site, which serves consumers in the 36 states where the federal government oversees the new health-insurance exchanges.
The administration had estimated that nearly 500,000 people would enroll in October, according to internal memos cited last week by Rep. Dave Camp (R., Mich.). An estimated seven million were expected to gain private coverage by the end of March, when the open-enrollment period is set to end.
The federal health official directly responsible for the online marketplace, Marilyn Tavenner, told a congressional panel last week that the Department of Health and Human Services would release enrollment figures this week.
The complete collapse is happening while Obama is trying to inflate the numbers for political reasons — he's mixing Medicaid and private-exchange enrollment, which are completely different concepts. As I wrote last month:
As a response, Obama has claimed 500k have signed up… but that number includes PARTIAL applications, MEDICAID applications, and likely even counts some partial applications DOUBLE. It's a fraud.
Rather than achieving their "goal" of 500k applications for private-exchanges, it looks like only few thousand have applied… which means that Obamacare is currently on a path of collapse. Spread this article on Facebook and Twitter — we know the media won't report it correctly.
This is the failure we've been predicting for years. Obamacare has failed. Nobody wants it. Obama will likely beg at some point for some extra time… our response should be for him to take a hike.
