Right Analysis | Right Hook | Right Opinion Patriot Headlines | Grassroots Commentary FOUNDER'S QUOTE DAILY "How prone all human institutions have been to decay; how subject the best-formed and most wisely organized governments have been to lose their check and totally dissolve; how difficult it has been for mankind, in all ages and countries, to preserve their dearest rights and best privileges, impelled as it were by an irresistible fate of despotism." --James Monroe, speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788 That Dang Constitution Barack Obama blamed Congress again this week for limiting his ability to solve problems: "If, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing laws in Congress, then I would do so." Well, make no mistake: Obama has no respect for Rule of Law and is using thousands of regulatory measures to bypass Congress -- which is precisely why Obama and his Senate Demos want to stack the DC Circuit Court with their own ideological regulatory gate keepers before the 2014 midterm elections. Partisan? Not Me! BO told a California crowd, "I'm not a particularly ideological person. There are some things, some values I feel passionately about." He went on to note, "For the last few months you've seen a lot of headlines about gridlock and partisan bickering, and too often one faction of one party of one house of Congress has chosen courses of action that are harming our businesses or our economy and our workers. They want to refight old political battles rather than create jobs and grow the economy and strengthen the middle class." This from the "non-partisan" president who has done more longterm damage to "jobs, the economy and middle class" than any president in the history of our Republic. The Number: 157,000,000 According to the Federal Register listing of Obama administration rules and regulations -- posted on 17 June 2010 -- the number of small employer insurance policies subject to O'Care cancellation is 76%. The number of large employer policies subject to O'Care cancellation is 55%. The grand total of employer-provided insurance cancellations due to ObamaCare is now estimated to be 157 million policies. No wonder the Demos changed the Senate rules so they could stack the DC Circuit Court with their own ideological regulatory gate keepers. The chances of Demos retaining the Senate in 2014 continue to narrow. The Thanksgiving Offensive BO's Leftwing campaign handlers are promoting "Health Care for the Holidays," an initiative urging Americans to "have the talk" about ObamaCare at Thanksgiving tables. The Washington Post echoed the administration's promotional campaign with its own "Guide to Surviving ObamaCare Debates at Thanksgiving." BarackObama.com suggests, "You get to choose the plan that's right for you." But the fact is, O'Care's exchanges offer very limited choice from which to choose. The campaign further notes, "You can find a plan that fits your budget." However, premiums will be more expensive for health insurance in 42 states. But hey, who's counting? Schmoozing the Rich and Famous Barack Obama did not attend the 150th anniversary celebration of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address delivery last week, claiming he was too busy with the work of the people, "getting this darn website up to speed." Of course, he did record his recitation of the address, notably the version without "under God." But the work of the people is not preventing Obama's junket to seven West Coast fundraisers this week, specifically to a state still considered somewhat friendly territory -- California. He is seeking the support of his most reliable donors, the Hollywood Ignorati. And while Obama is hobnobbing with the rich and famous, we remind you that the military expense to transport Obama and his adoring entourage to the Leftcoast is costing taxpayers TENS of millions of dollars. At the same time, Air Force military commanders are telling the administration that cuts to flight training hours is undermining military readiness. Boehner Enrolls House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) documented his nauseating experience last week when trying to enroll through D.C.'s ObamaCare exchange. After many failed attempts and a phone call to the DC Health Link help line, the speaker finally received enrollment confirmation hours later. "So here's the bottom line," a spokesperson explained. "Before Obamacare, through the program for all federal employees the Boehners' monthly premiums totaled $433 with a $700 deductible. Now, the Boehners will pay around $800 per month, with deductibles somewhere near $2000." Boehner's office acknowledged that "the speaker and Mrs. Boehner are fortunate enough to be able to afford these higher costs," but these premium hikes -- even among lawmakers -- helps explain why Congress was so insistent on keeping their generous health insurance subsidies. Gallup: People Like Their Plan "If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period." Thus went Obama's oft-repeated BIG lie about ObamaCare. As we know, of course, tens of millions of people have not been able to keep their plans. Now, Gallup reports that, not only is that the case, but 69% of Americans really liked the plan that ObamaCare might take away from them. If you like your reform, you can keep it. On Iran -- and Munich Political commentator Charles Krauthammer: "Half a dozen times, the Security Council has passed resolutions which said Iran has to stop all enrichment, otherwise there will be no change in sanctions, no relief. Which means six times China and Russia -- not exactly hardliners on Iran -- have signed on to this. And what is the result of this agreement? Iran retains the right to enrich. ... And remember, enrichment is the dam against all proliferation. Once a country anywhere can start to enrich there is no containing its nuclear capacity. So it undermines the entire idea of nonproliferation and it grants Iran a right it's been lusting for for a decade. That's why there was so much jubilation in Tehran over this. … This is a sham from beginning to end. It's the worst deal since Munich." Obama's Immigration Lie Barack Obama was heckled during a speech about immigration Monday, but his response was as laughable as it was surprising. "Please use your executive order to halt deportations for all 11.5 million undocumented immigrants in this country right now," the heckler shouted. Of course, in 2011, Obama did issue an executive order stopping the deportation of millions of illegals. But that didn't stop him from rewriting history and denying his own proclivities in his response to the heckler: "[I]f, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing this through Congress, then I would do so. We're also a nation of laws." For Obama to claim that he cares about Rule of Law is as untrue as it is insulting to our intelligence. He has done nothing of the sort since his election, and we expect nothing different going forward. BO Among Least Influential People What does Barack Obama have in common with Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus? They're all among the list of GQ's "25 Least Influential People of 2013." BO comes in at number 17. (We'd argue that ranking is much too high, but hey, what do we know?) Drew Magary notes, "I have spent the majority of this man's presidency watching bad things happen, then hearing a thoughtful speech about how we gotta make sure the bad things never happen again, and then watching as nothing gets done." Obama's glory days are quickly fading, even among his most loyal Leftmedia.
