Time for the GOP Leadership in DC to Take a Hike

This week, I am calling for Tea Party Loyalists to take a stand against the Republican Party leadership in Congress, starting by making sure Republican Senate Whip John Cornyn is defeated in the Texas GOP primary on March 4.
Tea Party Loyalists have waited too long and too patiently for House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to embrace the conservative principles of small government and reduced taxation so near and dear to the hearts of Tea Party Loyalists.
Now, it's time for Boehner and McConnell to go, and they can take with them House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Senate Republican Whip John Cornyn, and Karl Rove.
Why?
Because Tea Party Loyalists are tired of being attacked and abused by the likes of Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, Cornyn, Rove and the other RINOs that control the Republican Party in Washington, D.C.
Instead of getting GOP leadership that understands the political concerns Tea Party loyalists have repeatedly expressed, what we get from Boehner, McConnell and Rove is more abuse and continuing ridicule.
So after years of beating our heads against the RINO brick wall in Washington, we get the message.
Boehner, McConnell, the establishment GOP in the House and Senate, and Karl Rove want Tea Party Loyalists to shut up and go away.
Well, we're not going to do that.
Instead, what we're going to do is teach the GOP a lesson.
That lesson is the GOP cannot win close elections for the House and Senate without the active support and involvement of Tea Party Loyalists.
If we stay home, like millions of us did in the 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns the me-too establishment Republicans like Senator John McCain and Governor George Romney lose.
It's as simple as that.
If the GOP wants to increase the Republican majority in the House and establish a GOP majority in the Senate, the GOP needs Tea Party Loyalists to come out and vote.
The lesson we need to teach the RINOs running the Republican Party in Washington, D.C., is that Tea Party Loyalists intend to run conservatives Tea Party candidates in the primaries with the goal of dislodging and retiring the Republican candidates registered as "worthy" by the likes of Karl Rove.
We're tired of Karl Rove's pompous insistence the GOP must capitulate to the Democrats on key issues including immigration reform and the debt ceiling in order to win elections.
Karl Rove did not elect a single candidate he backed in 2012, despite spending some $400 million given to his various PACs by wealthy GOP donors.
Finally, wealthy GOP donors are realizing that all Karl Rove did with their millions was to trash Tea Party Loyalists and make himself rich.
It's time to restore the Republican Party to the conservative principles that motivate Tea Party Loyalists to go to the polls.
To prove the point, there is one race I want Tea Party Loyalists to focus on the coming weeks – the primary in Texas for the U.S. Senate in which incumbent John Cornyn, an establishment Republican who has gotten cozy living in Washington and thinking like Karl Rove wants him to think is facing off against Congressman Steve Stockman, a Tea Party Loyalist with established conservative credentials.
In a contest where seven challengers including Stockman are vying to replace two-term incumbent Cornyn from re-election, the goal is to deny Cornyn an absolute majority on March 4 (50 percent plus one vote) and to make Stockman the leading challenger, so as to force a run-off contest between Cornyn and Stockman, the two leading contenders, on May 27.
If Cornyn is forced into a run-off against Stockman, Cornyn will almost certainly lose.
I can offer you a list of reasons a Texas-mile-long why Cornyn deserves to be defeated, going back to Cornyn's repeated efforts to undermine San Diego Congressman Duncan Hunter's determination to build an effective double-layer fence along the U.S. border with Mexico, during President George W. Bush's second term.
Now, Cornyn, the Republican whip in the Senate, is on the record actively opposing Sen. Ted Cruz's effort to defund and repeal Obamacare.
If Cornyn wins a majority on March 4, Tea Party Loyalists can count on a series of setbacks.
Six more years of Cornyn in the Senate means six more years of Obamacare, six more years of runaway federal government spending with the federal debt headed toward $20 trillion, and the almost certainty Congress will pass "comprehensive reform immigration" legislation that amounts to nothing more than amnesty…
…It's about time Congressmen like Steve Stockman who have a history of being faithful to the political concerns of Tea Party Loyalists get elected to the Senate…
…Circulate this editorial – make sure all Tea Party Loyalists in Texas read this and get motivated.
It's time to dump Cornyn and elect Steve Stockman to the U.S. Senate.
