Impeach Obama? A really bad idea.
Yes there is plenty of hue and cry to impeach this president. True he is the sorriest president we have ever had. It is also true that the House of Representatives could likely muster up enough votes to bring an impeachment hearing. So then, why is it a bad idea?
Let us look at what an impeachment is.
Article Two of the United States Constitution Section 4: Impeachment:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors.
What is "high crimes and misdemeanors"?
High crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct peculiar to officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, conduct unbecoming, and refusal to obey a lawful order.
The United States House of Representatives has the sole power of impeaching an official, including the president, while the United States Senate has the sole power to try all impeachments. The removal of impeached officials is automatic upon conviction in the Senate, and there is no court review. Once it is heard and upheld by the Senate, it is a done deal.
Josh Earnest the White House Press Secretary admitted on July 25, 2014, that it was a real possibly that President Obama could be impeached, see Video here. So it is on a lot of minds, but not a good idea.
Ok, so why is it not a good idea?
If President Barack Hussein Obama was impeached, and subsequently convicted in the Senate, who do you think replaces him? Uh, well, uh, I guess Vice President Joseph Biden. Yep Mr. Gaffe himself. So what better off would the country be with ole Joe?
Here are just a tiny sampling of VP Biden stupid stuff.
"A man I'm proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!"
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
"His mom lived in Long Island for ten years or so. God rest her soul. And- although, she's- wait- your mom's still- your mom's still alive. Your dad passed. God bless her soul."
"You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.... I'm not joking."
"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." –Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time.
So, is this what those crying for impeachment want? Well, maybe so, even with his stupidity, he might be a better POTUS that Barack Hussein Obama. Ok, so now we have ole Joe as our POTUS, then who takes over the Vice President slot? "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress." The 25th Amendment, Section 2.
And pray tell who might that be? Why none other than the HILDABEAST in the flesh, Hillary Clinton. Well you say she has to be confirmed by both the House and Senate, only by a majority, and that will happen. Which sets up her bid for the 2016 Presidential campaign.
So, that is why impeaching Barack Hussein Obama is a bad idea! Speaker John Boehner has the right idea, file the lawsuit, and take these ridiculous executive orders to the Supreme Court. We will win there!
