 Congressional Republicans have slammed Obama for his decision to skip a border trip during a fundraising visit to Texas this week. Obama will meet with Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican, to discuss what has turned into a humanitarian crisis with thousands of children from Central America entering the U.S. seeking refuge

Steny Hoyer: Barack Obama visiting border wouldn't 'hurt'

politico.com - A trip to the U.S.-Mexican border to evaluate the influx of unaccompanied minors entering the country wouldn't "hurt" President Barack Obama but would amount to little more than a photo-op, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer said on Tuesday.
