The Editor, Jim Romenesko, defends the cartoon as provocative but not racist. However, the defense isn't strong enough in that a qualifier is added to explain racism is certainly not the "intent." Teachable moment for the Editor: Truth needs no qualifier, and a right to freedom of speech is at stake.
