Obama warns America 'can't dawdle' on Ebola as he warns African epidemic could infect 'hundreds of thousands' and jeopardize US national security

President Obama stressed his sense of urgency on Tuesday at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warning that as America scurries to help west African nations grapple with the deadly Ebola epidemic, 'We can't dawdle on this one.'

His Defense Department is sending 3,000 armed troops to intervene in Liberia, the hardest-hit nation, underscoring the desperate nature of the situation.
