Ruger Announces SR1911 Lightweight Commander

 Fans of Ruger's SR1911 line now have a lightweight carry option, as the company announced the introduction of the SR1911 Lightweight Commander. Retaining all the features of the all stainless steel commander-style 1911, the Lightweight Commander shaves 7 ozs. off the weight of that model thanks to its black anodized aluminum frame, which comes in at only 29.3 ozs. with an empty magazine.
