East St. Louis Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon Stephen R. Wigginton, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that Jerrod Jones, 27, of East St. Louis, Illinois, was sentenced in federal district court in East St. Louis, to ten years in federal prison, 3 years’ supervised release, a $100 special assessment, and a fine of $500, following his plea of guilty, on January 14, 2015, for the crime of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
