March 03, 3016 - The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force, comprised of members from the U.S. Marshals Service, West Virginia State Police, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and Martinsburg City Police Department, arrested Michael Long, of Harpers Ferry, WV. Michael Long was wanted by the West Virginia State Police on charges of Attempted Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary and Brandishing.

March 03, 2016 - The U.S. Marshals Service is warning the public of a nationwide telephone scam involving individuals claiming to be U.S. marshals, court officers or law enforcement officials seeking to collect a fine in lieu of arrest for failing to report for jury duty. The U.S. Marshals Service does not call anyone to arrange payment of fines over the phone for failure to appear for jury duty or any other infraction.
