U.S. Marshals Task Force and Memphis Police Department Arrest Child Rape Fugitive

September 19, 2016 - In a bid to escape justice, a fugitive tried to swim, run and fight his way past law enforcement this morning. But in the end he was unable to escape. The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and members of the M.P.D Mt. Moriah Precinct Task Force were looking for fugitive Alvertis Brown. Brown had warrants for his arrest on charges including; Rape of a child, Aggravated Sexual Battery, and two charges of Aggravated Assault.
