The New York Field Division is responsible for ATF criminal enforcement and industry regulatory activities in the State of New York. This field division is committed to reducing violent crime in our communities by denying criminals access to firearms, and removing armed offenders from our streets to face justice in our courts. We encourage all residents to get involved and assist us in our goal of reducing crime in our neighborhoods by anonymously submitting information through our new ATF Tips app (Android and iOS), visiting the reportit website, submitting an anonymous form, or by reaching out to your local field office. New Press Release – Two Men Arrested and Charged with 2008 Murder

Joon H. Kim, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Ashan M. Benedict, Special Agent-in-Charge of the New York Division of the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF"), and James P. O'Neill, the Commissioner of the New York City Police Department ("NYPD"), announced the arrests of FRANKLYN STERLING and XAVIER DELISER for the 2008 murder of Francisco Unapanta. STERLING was arrested on August 10, 2017, and DELISER was arrested this morning.

 

New Press Release – Brooklyn Man Sentenced to 10 Years' Imprisonment for 11 Robberies of Cell Phone Stores in Brooklyn and Queens

Earlier today at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn, United States District Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall sentenced the defendant Arthur Sam to 10 years' imprisonment for his role in 11 robberies of cell phone stores in Brooklyn and Queens. Sam, also known as "16," had previously pled to Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy. The sentence also included a term of three years of supervised release and $304,179 in restitution.
