| John, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. This is one of my favorite American holidays because it's centered around gratitude and community. Thank you for being a crucial part of the Heritage community. You're the reason why we can change Washington and restore limited, constitutional government. And as we get closer to the end of the year, I can't help thinking about everything else we need to do. Tax reform is still struggling through Congress. Obamacare still needs to be repealed. Regulations still need to get slashed. We don't have much time left. Will you take up the mantle of leadership once more and make a gift to Heritage today? When you support Heritage, you empower our nation's leaders with policies that will lead to smaller government and more freedom for Americans. And you ensure that conservative values and principles reach millions of Americans across the country. Stand for conservative principles on Giving Tuesday and make your tax-deductible donation today >> Thank you for all you do for Heritage and for our country. Onward! Ed Feulner |

The ad calls on lawmakers to pass rules requiring background checks on guns. It is narrated by children, with “America the Beautiful” playing in the background. It includes decades-old footage of National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre saying the gun lobby group approves of the checks. LaPierre recently testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the NRA no longer supports background checks for all gun sales.
