view the web version of this email DAILY ALERT FOR Wednesday, April 10, 2019   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Delaware: Multiple Gun Control Bills Introduced in the General Assembly Today, the Delaware Senate saw the introduction of multiple gun control bills, including gun bans, magazine bans, and requiring a permit to purchase.   NBC NEWS.COM NRA Backs Suit Over Pittsburgh Gun Laws Passed in Wake of Synagogue Attack Gun rights groups sued Tuesday to block Pittsburgh from enforcing firearms legislation passed after a mass shooting at a synagogue, accusing city officials of blatantly defying the state's prohibition on municipal gun regulation.   MIAMI HERALD Chairman of Alaska Rights Commission Quits Amid Controversy The chairman of the Alaska human rights commission submitted his resignation after the state agency found itself in the middle of a controversy involving its executive director.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Oregon: Committee Passes 45-Page Gun Control Package On April 9th, the Oregon state Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve Senate Bill 978 with the -5 Amendment.  This legislation is an omnibus gun control package that, among other things, would require firearms be kept unavailable for self-defense and would also expand gun free zones where law-abiding individuals would be left defenseless.  It will now go to the Senate floor for further consideration.
