view the web version of this email DAILY ALERT FOR Wednesday, May 1, 2019   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Washington: Legislature Adjourns Sine Die, Gun Owner Privacy Protected On April 28th, the Washington Legislature adjourned sine die from the 2019 Legislative Session.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Louisiana: House Committee Passes Two Pro-Gun Bills Today, the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee passed pro-gun measures, House Bill 281 and House Bill 235.   GUNS.COM Feinstein Pushes to Bump Age for Mags, 'Assault Weapons' to 21 U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein intends to introduce a bill to Congress that would ban the sale of "high capacity" magazines and "assault weapons" to adults under age 21. Feinstein, a California Democrat who is the ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Monday that she intends to propose the legislation in coming days.   LEGAL & LEGISLATION Nevada: Clark County Commission Readies to Pass Gun Control With AB 291 Looming Last week, the Nevada Assembly passed legislation that would give county politicians unprecedented control over gun rights across the state.  Assembly Bill 291, which was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee, but has not been scheduled at this time for action, would criminalize certain firearm modifications, allow local level of gun control laws, and expand the authority for localities to create "gun-free zones."  The passage of this bill would inevitably result in a patchwork of laws for both residents and visitors to navigate while subjecting Nevadans in one county to rules and regulations regarding their constitutional rights different from those in a neighboring county.    LEGAL & LEGISLATION Pennsylvania: Senate Committee Passes Enhanced Preemption Legislation Yesterday, the Senate Local Government Committee passed enhanced preemption legislation, Senate Bill 531 by a 7 to 4 vote.   NEWS NRA Honors Indiana Representatives Lucas and Smaltz with Defender of Freedom Award FAIRFAX, Va.–  The National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) awarded Indiana State Representatives Jim Lucas and Ben Smaltz the Defender of Freedom Award at the 148th National Rifle Association Annual Meeting (NRAAM) in Indianapolis on Saturday, April 27.  SHARE THIS EMAIL   HELP DEFEND SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS   Donate Now  Register To Vote  Write Your Lawmakers  Volunteer!    FOLLOW NRA-ILA © 2017 National Rifle Association of America, Institute For Legislative Action.
