Your family can't afford this

Dear Fellow Conservative,

Federal spending is out of control. And while we all want to "drain the swamp," stopping America's dizzying $22 trillion debt spiral isn't as easy as pulling the plug.

Now, with liberals like Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez controlling the purse strings in Congress, they are pushing for policies that will make our debt problem even worse. In fact, Ocasio-Cortez's so-called "Green New Deal" could cost as much as $93 trillion over the first 10 years.

Fellow Conservative, the spending addiction in Washington isn't sustainable. It's wrong to leave this to our children and grandchildren to clean up.

That's why Heritage is actively working with conservatives in Congress to oppose making debt limit increases automatic, and for a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. Like your family and mine, Congress should have to balance its budget!

If you agree, I'm once again asking you to stand with The Heritage Foundation today.

As I've been telling you, some members of our Board of Trustees are so invested in seeing Heritage succeed in this and other areas that they've stepped up with $5.3 million of their own money.

Unlike the federal government, Heritage can't go into debt to see our mission accomplished. We are truly depending on you to stand with us and these members of our Board by making your most generous challenge gift today by clicking this secure link.

Please click to activate your Heritage membership by making a gift of $25 or more today. Remember, if you make it before August 16th, every dollar will go twice as far!

All the best,

Kay C. James
President

P.S. Fellow Conservative, we must get our own house in order before we can combat our nation's debt crisis! That's why meeting this $5.3 million challenge is so important. Please click this secure link to have every dollar of your donation go that much farther before the August 16th deadline: secured.heritage.org/board-challenge
